Needs major updating not a cheep stay and then tourist tax we won’t be rushing back!

Was a nice stay, but could clearly hear the neighbours talking.

Generally okay a Fan in the room would have been great for the hot evenings as no air con, and breakfast could have been fresher and replenished more often.

This hotel is very good for location of bus stop into Edinburgh-just a few steps away. Hotel room is a bit tired. Bathroom is TINY. Wardrobe is missing a sliding door. No air con in room and it was very stuffy during the night. Breakfast was poor -very basic. Coffee was terrible. On the whole - excellent location and pleasant staff.

Nicely decorated hotel, although our room and some other areas were very tired and in need of some TLC. The staff were pleasant although weren't always able to help with our queries. The breakfast room (Braid Suite) was uncomfortably hot, we ended up propping the window open using a mug for some fresh air! The location was lovely and easy to get to and from the town centre. However not sure it was worth what we paid £200/night.

The staff were extremely helpful, professional and friendly. Location was a little far from center.

Nice size room. Great location to catch a bus to old Edinburgh. Nice bar/lounge area. Enjoyed our stay!

The rooms were very hot and stuffy and our room was incredibly far away with no elevator. The shower was just a trickle of water, and I had trouble adjusting the temperature. The front desk did give us a portable fan when we asked for one though.

This hotel was okay, not great. First of all, there is NO lift/ elevator and there are lots of stairs - good to know in advance. The breakfast was not great - below average. This hotel caters for coach/ bus tours rather than individual travellers. The original room we were put in was not well kept and the replacement room was better but still not great. I would say this is hotel is distinctly average with room for improvement. Not sure that I would stay there again, and we go to Edinburgh nearly every year. It’s a shame. That said, the staff were very nice and helpful. We ate in the hotel on our first night and the food was decent.

Really cannot say anything positive about this hotel. Headboard was wipe clean PVC that had evidence of peeling, walls had stains on them and chair fabric was dirty.
