Awesome hotel in the heart of the Old Town. A historic cinema still operates in the basement and first floors, and our son loved the popcorn machine outside the theater. Our room (superior double) was nice and large with an updated bathroom and plenty of space for 2 adults and a child. The staff were all very friendly and helpful in providing directions, making reservations, etc. Our son loved his cute present for reading the Leo book provided at check-in. A grocery store and numerous restaurants are just steps away. The funicular is about a 10-minute walk, as are most parts of the old town, and the new town is also about a 10-minute walk across the Mozart Bridge. The perfect spot to stay when visiting Salzburg!

Be prepared, no air conditioning!!

We had a great stay at the hotel. The staff was very friendly. The room was nice. The only minor drawback was that it was very hot and it felt like the portable AC in the room didn’t quite cope with the size of the room. Good location in the old town of Salzburg. Can defiantly recommend this hotel.

All we wanted to see was walking distance. Great sushi around the corner.

Perfekte Lage und sehr sympathisches Personal!

Conveniently located and surprisingly quiet.

Staff was very helpful, hotel was clean. I was there during the heatwave and the apologized profusely that the historic property did not have air conditioning, but the fan they had set up in my room worked just fine for me (truly!!). Convenient location near all the sites I wanted to see. I was traveling via train and the hotel was just a short walk from a nearby tram station. Cannot speak to arriving via car but they did provide instructions for that.

Very convenient location in the Altstadt. Staff were very friendly. Rooms were clean. The room had a shower and tub both which made things nice. Parking is a short walk up a hill, however there is a loading zone in front of the hotel. The Cinema is a very cool bit of history, although movie choices are limited. We enjoyed our stay here.
