This hotel is located at an excellent location. Lots of restaurants, cafes and pubs nearby.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. We plan on staying there again next time we’re in Southampton.

Very old hotel but not maintained. No air conditioning and stairs involved. No hair dryers and one little round soap. No water supplied even though a heat wave was occurring in Southampton.
However close to cruise docks which was helpful.

Lovely staff and very convenient location, on site parking definitely very useful. However, in room decor could do with some basic maintenance. My friend in room 67 had a cracked shower pan and the wallpaper was peeling very significantly. The latter could be fixed easily, but the former is a hygiene and safety issue which needs immediate attention. Hotel has character and would stay again.

Room ok but needs an update. Bed linen had a hole in it. Corridor to room drab. Bar not open while I was there, Monday to Wednesday.

Good overnight hotel in great central location just south of Bargate. Quiet and sizeable room.Very good value and chargeable breakfast was excellent at £9. Would definitely return

Hotel was small but our room was great. No AC but not unexpected. Was there on supposedly record setting heat day but there was a fan in the room so wasn't unbearable. In downtown old town so a lot within walking distance. Was there for a cruise and it was walkable to the cruise port (about 1 mile).
