I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Kalken. The front desk staff were amazing, especially the man with glasses that works at night, he went above and beyond to help me and was very kind. The room had everything I needed for my short stay and I enjoyed the packed lunch box ready for me in the morning for my el chalten day hike! I would definitely stay here again. Thank you again to all the lovely staff I really appreciate it :) Tuve una vacación maravillosa en el Hotel Kalken.

Great service, we were coming back from El Chalten and all our clothes were wet, they have laundry service that allowed us to take all our clothes clean to Buenos Aires. They recommend some restaurants around the area. Very helpful.

Very BASIC accomodations, and as with all things in El Calafate... overpriced. Room was stifling hot, (possibly due to in floor heating that we weren't able to control), so we had to sleep with window open. No fridge or coffee maker in room... but breakfast was good.

The room smell very bad, like an old las vegas hotel. But other than that its well located, convenient for solo travellers. I slept well, shower is hot, bed comfy. Everyone was sleeping at 10pm so eve if i assumed it was gonna be noisy it ended up not to be at all. Friendly staff, okay breakfast!

Convenient location. Room is clean. Staff are helpful. Breakfast was a bit too simple.

Great breakfast ready at 6:30-10 Friendly staff. Loved the medialunas

Great staff.

Rooms were great, extraordinarily great location - walkable to all needs and great view of the lake

Staff was nice. The cozy area to drink wine was beautiful

it takes for a minutes or two to get to main street. Considering the price, it is an excellent hotel.
