Lovely, historic hotel. Quiet and calm amidst the beautiful clamor and turbulence of Florence. Our 10 year-old daughter loved having half the family suite to herself.
Only two suggestions:
1) the sight of housekeeping trolleys left in hallways is jarring in a 4-star hotel. Isn’t there a housekeeping closet where they can be stored when not in use?
2) with the exception of the lady who greeted us on arrival, the front desk and bell staff was more functional than warm.

很好 Beautiful hotel in quieter area away from crowds but still just a few blocks from most major attractions. My only disappointment is we booked two identical rooms (Deluxe Double or Twin Room, River View) and one was a big bright corner room on the top floor while the other was small and dark and directly above lobby bar and music was loud. Aside from that everything was wonderful.

The hotel is a hidden gem. My favorite part was the bathroom specifically the shower. The water was hot and the pressure was great. The staff was very helpful especially Vanni! They went over and above to answer our questions and make recommendations.

Everything about Hotel Balestri was fantastic. The staff was extremely friendly and recommended places that we should go. The room and all amenities were extremely clean and the location to everything was extremely convenient!
We even left a wallet and some jewelry at the hotel and only realized after flying back to the states. The hotel worked closely with us to recover and ship the items back to us. I can’t recommend this hotel enough!
