...interesting approach to hospitality!

Location was good, hotel is very old, tacky, staff at front desk are good but can’t do much and when you ask to speak to the manager, he doesn’t come out on purpose and didn’t even show up the next day. Rooms are very old, no iron and blow dryer in the room. Terrible stay, no AC, the guy at the swimming pool entrance was unhelpful. Not a 4 star hotel, there are 2 star hotels better than this.

The shower tray was blocked, so I ended up having a foot spa instead of a shower (with god knows what bacteria was coming up that plughole). I only stayed one night, but the following morning just before 9am, housekeeping knocked on my door. I answered and asked if "Could you come back later?" Due to the poor understanding of English, I had to repeat this four times before they understood. In response, she seemed annoyed and said, "OK, take your time." Why would she say that? I have the room booked until 11:00 (checkout time). My time in the room is fully mine until that time. The furniture was also quite old and dilapidated. The bed had discoloration and the wardrobe door was very stiff. The couches were old and very worn.

Had a great two night stay at the hotel whilst visiting some local NT properties. Breakfast was good.

Room was barely clean whilst half lights not working. Rails to stairs hadn’t been cleaned in ages and covered in grime. At busy times the bar staff were useless more intent on chatting than helping out else where. Food was ok but the breakfast was about the worst I’d had anywhere. On one good note the chap on night duty was really helpful.

Man on the desk was new, said “ not in the group chat with housekeeping so doesn’t know if rooms are ready” so he had to go and check each guests room to see if it was Our room was ready but no kids bed was out or set up. We had one towel for three of us and one cup for three of us. The room had an empty Belvita biscuit wrapper under the bedside table. There was also a tea bag tag under the other bedside table and a contact lense wrapper under the desk table. The bathroom door was really creaky so can’t be shut or fully opened without making a racket and waking up our two young children. There was no toiletries in the bathroom. I went to the bar for a drink and the lady was organising the sugar bowls and had no idea there was myself and another lady waiting for a drink, even though I had a baby who was starting to cry while we were waiting, This morning on the way to breakfast there was a piece of watermelon and a biscuit left in a windowsill,

Stopped later on, no-one about. Don't think management care too much. Shame really probably wouldn't stay there again.

Worth considering that the hotel doesn't have air conditioning in the rooms so avoid during hot weather.

Easy to locate

The photos on the app are outdated and do not truly reflect the current state of this Hotel and it really needs some work done. The staff were helpfull and polite working with what is available for them. My room was dirty, remains of a self rolled cigarette on the bath room floor, broken plastic fork piece on the desk with crum reminants scattered over it. Generally a run down and dirty room. Had to leave the window open all through the night due to a strange lingering smell in the room. Positive it did have a bath and shower with the later being very good and powerful. For the same money I would recommend either IHG, one of the two premier Inn, Village or Barton Mill.
