Worse place we’ve stayed since we got here! Definitely needs a lot of work. The staff was helpful and friendly, but they put us in a room with no A/C and unfortunately for us it was that one day where even Alaska was hot!! We had to change rooms in the middle of the night- not fun when you’ve travelled over 14 hours to get here.

You need to be conscious of what you are paying vs expectations. I stayed one night because next day I was going on a cruise. Super friendly and helpful staff, great shuttle service, breakfast was ok. Many people give low ratings because they want to pay cheap and expect 5 stars, Alaska is expensive and mostly during cruise season. Understanding the above… then this is a good hotel for your money. If you are staying more than 1-2 nights I would recommend a different place if you want to enjoy amenities etc. but dont expect luxury if you are not willing to pay top $$$.

We stayed at Puffin Inn last night in Anchorage and it was the worst hotel experience we've ever had. Room and bed were tiny, room was uncomfortable. Bugs in room, and then worst of all the hot water wasn't working so we had to take a freezing shower. Told the front desk and they basically said oh sorry and that's about it. Never again Puffin Inn

Economy room was small but just right for 1 night stay on our road trip - clean quiet & easy to find- good seafood restaurant down the block across the street!

It was a nice property. Large room, restful sleep. Loved the large soaking tub. Breakfast was small, a little small for the amount of people. Not much seating, more choices of breakfast items would be great!!

The A/C in my room was broken/non operable. The room was extremely warm and all they offered was a fan. I was told “based on the room I booked, there was nothing they could do.” I stay here quite often, and this was the worst experience I’ve ever had.

This was not with the price - I spent $290 for one night. The room was alright. I had a second floor room and had to carry my luggage up stairs. The door lock and handle to the room seemed flimsy. I got in from a late flight and needed to sleep and then was out by 9am.

I travel frequently, and this is by far the worst hotel I’ve stayed at. The room had a very unpleasant smell, and the overall condition did not justify the price I paid. It was poor value for the money, and my experience was very disappointing. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone and would not stay here again.

Older hotel but they are working on renovations. Our room was comfortable. The staffers very friendly and helpful.

We felt extremely uncomfortable at this property. Our room was in a back hallway by the laundry and we just didn’t like it. Homeless people were walking by and it just wasn’t what we were used to. We were booked for two nights and requested to cancel the second night for a refund. Because it was a prepaid room, the manager was under no obligation to refund us, but kindly did. We greatly appreciated that, but we would have left the property even without the refund. The provided breakfast was acceptable to us. A bit more on the room. It was very small and the only sink served as a nightstand next to the head of the bed. The curtains had gaps that were impossible to close which caused my wife to sleep with her clothes on. Minimal place for our luggage as we were uncomfortable leaving anything in our car. I want to be fair and state it was very convenient to the airport, but overall just not what we are personally used too.
