We had to wait 1/2 hour for someone to return to the front desk before we could check in. The sidewalk at the front was chipped, broken, and hard to roll carts/suitcases over. The entire hotel, even our room, smelled heavily of cigarette smoke. There was pet odor in the room. The carpeting in the hallways was widely stained. The mattress was sagging toward the center of the bed. The floor tiles in the bathroom were cracked and loose. Even the toilet was loose and wobbly. I have stayed at several Mainstays, and never had one in this poor condition. The staff was very kind, even when we asked to check out early. They stated that they were in the process of revamping the hotel.

Funky smell, but did well for the price.

Staff was very friendly, very helpful, got us into our room quickly, very polite, and the room was in moderate shape. I will say we had a little bit of toilet issues with a backup. Staff understood and was taking care of it. We were only there for about 12 hours, just coming in late one night and leaving the next morning, but definitely had put a lot of band-aids on repairs that were needed. Some of this standard upkeep I felt like could have been better, but at least commend the staff for being very polite and helpful.

Everything & everyone was nice

The room was fine and staff was great, always super friendly and helpful! I will say our bed was one of the worst beds we’ve ever slept in, felt like we were sleeping on rusty springs and very achy every morning. There were some unpleasant smells we couldn’t locate, didn’t use our closet due to that, and the smoking smell and weed smell from everywhere was a bit much, my pregnant wife was struggling… And lastly I think the worst thing that is out of control of staff was whoever was staying above us and that really ruined the stay… They were up every night at 2 AM and 4 AM, almost felt like deliberately stomping around and woke us up every single night, one night they were running a sink for 30+ minutes and turning the garbage disposal on and off and on and off… walls are thin and I get people have things to do, but every night… we just did not sleep good because of this and just respect for others, especially when you’re on an upper floor. Again, staff were amazing and so friendly, thankful for the rates, room was clean and comfortable other than the bed and just the smells from everywhere, location was ideal.

Checked out after 1 night due to smoky room still not refunded for remaining days
