Some places are simply special, and this is one of them – a true hidden gem. My daughter and I stayed one night before her graduation day at Portsmouth University just so we could enjoy some precious mother and daughter time before such an important milestone. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with such genuine warmth and kindness that it immediately felt like a home away from home. The property is absolutely stunning. Every room has been thoughtfully and beautifully decorated, creating a feeling of comfort, luxury and calm. My daughter genuinely felt like a princess, and it was the perfect setting to celebrate such a proud moment in her life. The little touches made all the difference. When we arrived Mubi showed us around and kindly offered us a beautiful vase to put graduation flowers in and keep them fresh! – such a thoughtful gesture that meant so much. It’s this level of care and attention that turns a lovely stay into an unforgettable one. We took a short stroll to the beach and there are restaurant/bars nearby too. We spent the evening sharing pizza, sipping wine, laughing over a game of table tennis and even playing Pac-Man together. Those simple moments, in such beautiful surroundings, became memories we’ll treasure forever. Thank you Steve and Mubi for making such a significant occasion even more magical for our family. We left with full hearts and wonderful memories, and we’ll absolutely be returning soon

Great stay and really friendly and helpful manager Mubi makes guests feel most welcome. Loved the decor in the room I stayed in and the convenience for food options and the peace and quiet are invaluable. Firmly recommend!

A great place to stay ..... lovely large room windows that open gorgeous shower definitely worrh a visit plus space invaders, ping pong, air and table football i was solo but be great for a group weekend stay Geoff

Absolutely Fantastic… from friendly and efficient check-in, beautifully presented room and so many amenities, pool, table tennis. Air hockey and table football in the now now longer open to the public bar. I have honestly never stayed anywhere that offer so much at such an affordable price. We will certainly return!

The property is great, everything was there that was needed. The owners are lovely and nothing was too much trouble

Everything was exceptional. The location was an easy walking distance to all of the attractions we planned on visiting and was surrounded by amazing places to eat and have a drink. Beautiful property and very comfortable beds. Would recommend this place for anyone wanting a relaxing visit to the area.

We had a great stay at Ashby's. The room was great and the facilities downstairs in the communal area were amazing and unique for this type of accommodation. The staff were brilliant and helpful in giving us a bigger room so we could have a more enjoyable stay. Will be sure to stay here again soon!

Had a great stay at Ashbys room was lovely. Beds very comfortable. Great location will definitely go back one day!
