Excelente en todo

Loved our stay they kindly upgraded me and we had a lovely big room ! Beach is beautiful did a fab yoga class and the classes are fun. Great location. Only thing I didn’t like is not being able to use sunbeds on beach area next to pool unless you spend money on drinks ! Should be free!!

Their pool, bar and restaurant were all closed and not expected to open in the near future. You had to climb very steep stairs to get to the room which was very dark and much smaller than indicated on the website. The view was just a tiny sliver of the ocean. You are not allowed to swim on their beach so you have to walk some distance through town to get to a beach where you can swim. We decided to stay at another hotel and the staff helped with the refund but even this took multiple attempts.

My stay at Nilu Isla Mujeres was very positive overall. Even though I booked last minute, the price was still accessible and felt like good value for what was offered. The highlight of the property for me was definitely the coworking space—it was spacious, comfortable, and well organized, making it easy to get work done. The place was also very clean, and I really enjoyed the view of the beach and pool, which made the environment feel relaxing and inspiring. As a solo female traveler, I also felt safe and comfortable throughout my stay, which made a big difference. Unfortunately, I didn’t get a chance to try the restaurant since I only stayed for one night and two days. That said, I would absolutely consider coming back. Next time, I’d likely book a private room instead of a shared dorm to have a bit more comfort and privacy.

Economy room has detached washroom....it should be specified clearly in hotels.com Hotels.com sent me note to pay 8 usd as fee/tax at property...but they charged me 304 pesos....more than double. The hotel said that they do not work directly with hotels.com. that they got my reservation from despegar.com

The location was excellent. Just a few minutes wal to North Beach. The beach that is accessible on site is not swimmable due to current. The pool was closed which was disappointing to find out after I got there. There is not restaurant or food on site. There is also no phone. This became an issue when I had my purse with phone and money stolen. I had to borrow personal phones to try to reach home. Also our room smelled horrible. It was bad. When I got home and opened my suitcase, it was unbearable. I had to wash everything in heavy detergent. I like the idea of the place but between the smell and lack of phone in emergencies I wouldn't stay again.
