The location is very convenient, walking distance to the Fortezza da Basso, the train station and fairly close to the city centre. The room was clean. The problems: I ordered the breakfast. This was too expensive (10€) for what it offers considering what you can get from nearby bakeries. More importantly, one of the marmalades had been opened and used. I did not get a satisfactory explanation from the staff or any compensation (i.e. I was asked to pay for this). Apparently I was the only one who was having breakfast that day, so the staff had no idea who ate from my breakfast tray - that's a serious concern regarding hygiene. There was no Internet service throughout my stay (6 nights, 6-12 July 2026). I was only told that there is a problem with the line in the whole neighbourhood. I find it extremely hard to believe that a whole neighbourhood was left without Internet for a whole week. Even if this is the case, I was never offered any alternative or compensation. I was on a business trip, so this was extremely disruptive. I had to buy a sim with unlimited data to be able to work, which of course added to the total cost.

Overall good, kinda far from main attractions but still a nice quiet place

Room was very clean and well kept. Kitchen was locked all day so make sure you take a kettle. Didn’t see anyone having a breakfast while we were there. We got our own. The patio area let it down as was very tired and seating seen better days. Room could have done with a little fridge. Air conditioning was good. Near transport. Basic but good

We felt like the room that was advertised online did not look the same in person. Upon arrival, we noticed the curtain to one of the windows was broken. The mattress was disgusting, completely stained brown/yellow.

Easy to check in remotely. It was located next to a lot of restaurants and a nice park that we were able to walk to. Angelica, the property manager was so helpful! She provided me with great information on how to check in and use keys to get into the building.

I wish there was access to the kitchen to make tea or coffee.

Accommodation was good, no frills, but then you should not expect any at this style and price of the room. It was very clean , a good modern bathroom. Important you advise of arrival time as a member of staff welcomes you , and opens up for you.There is no other staff on duty in the property. Road outside rather noisy at night.

I had a really wonderful stay! The location was nice and quiet. It was also a relatively short walk to the train station. The staff at the reception desk was super helpful and accommodating, I would definitely stay here again!

We had a wonderful stay in Camera Giglio. The highlight of the clean, comfortable space was the terrace accessible directly from our room with a table and 2 chairs for enjoying a bottle of Chianti after a day out and about. For 10€ per person extra, the host Angelica provides breakfast on the lower part of the delightful terrace that features a few tables and seating for lounging. Angelica was very helpful before and during our stay. She ordered a taxi for us for a very early checkout to catch a train to Salerno and to get to the meeting point for our Tuscan Wine Tasting tour. The neighborhood is quiet and felt very safe. Since we are older and have limits to the distances we can walk, we only wish we realized it was further from central Florence than expected. Prepare for 10 minute taxi ride to popular spots like Piazza Santa Maria Novella and the main train station. You will need to call for a taxi because there doesn't appear to be any nearby taxi stands where you can easily walk to. Flagging taxis on the street, of course, is not done in Florence. Also note while towels and a bath mat are provided, small washcloths are not. Those are small details though that are just good to know. We will definitely stay here again.

Bed was broken. No person to contact in case you need anything. Bad shower. Bed was so bad I couldn’t sleep all three nights. Do not recommend. Bad customer service.
