Courteous staff, room was good, bathroom needs upgrading.

This hotel is conveniently located off the main roadway and has a beautiful layout with a pool in the lobby, very nice dining area, a bar and a salon in the back. Since it is very close to the main road, it can get a bit noisy from the cars driving by. The rooms are a bit outdated and not as spacious as some other hotels. The AC unit in my room was leaking water the entire time we were there and some water got on the luggage. When swimming in the pool they will ask you to swim cautiously to avoid splashing water in the walkway. It would be best if they put up a glass barrier by the pool to prevent water from splashing in the walkway. Overall it is a nice hotel but the food is a bit pricey.

The grand coastal hotel was the PERFECT STAY ! The staff customer service was TOP notch ! Respectful , always greet with a pleasant smile and conversation. The food was delicious. The kitchen and staff are 5 stars ! The reception team 5 stars , barmen 5 stars. Taxi service 5 stars , security 5 stars , maid and house keeping service 5 stars . All staff that my family and I engage with were terrific! Kevin ,Operah, Daniel, Ryan ,Mark , Brian , Rommel Charlene ,Leshawn to name a few ! Thank you ! We will Definitely return to the grand coastal hotel!

Overall wonderful experience. Highly recommended

I stayed here recently and had mixed feelings about the experience. On the plus side, the hotel was very clean housekeeping clearly does a thorough job, and the rooms and common areas were well-kept throughout my stay. Unfortunately, a few issues held this back from being a great stay. The shower had no hot water for the duration of my visit. I reported it to the maintenance team, and while they did come to check it out, the problem was never actually resolved , I ended up taking cold showers the whole time. The location also comes with some noise challenges. There’s a fair amount of road noise that carries into the rooms, so light sleepers should be aware. On top of that, some rooms are situated close to the public spaces, which meant I could hear guests in those areas late into the night. Between the traffic outside and the noise from inside, getting a good night’s sleep was difficult.

This was my third stay at GCH. I see some improvements have been done with the bar and lounge area which is really nice. I always enjoy my stay but I think the Chef is different. My stew fish just wasn't what I remembered it to be. Not bad but I liked it when it was more a traditional type guyanese stew.
