Wonderfully authentic Lakeland Inn.Our stay was peaceful with so many opportunities for walks straight from the door.Limited options available for dinner, would have appreciated more choices.cooked breakfast was very good but some yoghurt, fruit would have been welcome.Selection of beers at the bar was very good.The staff work extremely hard but we thought an extra member of staff would have helped to reduce waiting times at dinner and breakfast

Cute and historic Inn, friendly guy in reception who also served at dinner, local lad. Loved the location and beautiful sunset during our after dinner stroll towards cathedral caves, nothing but us, the sheep and the hills.

Had a great stay, very helpful staff

This was a little bit of luxury as we usually stay in a campervan. It lived up to it's expectations and I would highly recommend it.

The young man running the Three Shires is a credit to you. Hard working and still polite with a sense of humour.

Room was a good size and comfy. Clean. However staff were largely disinterested

The heating & hot water was not working when we arrived. There was no customer support from the staff. An electric radiator could have been put in the room to preheat it and courtesy tea/coffee provided as it was cold and snow forecast. We felt there should have been someone experienced managing the situation. Therefore we decided to cancel annd leave after waiting for three hours.

Room was spotless and very spacious. Bathroom modern and shower worked great. Plenty of walking routes from the hotel and a warm welcoming log fire to return to after a good days walking. Food was very well presented and tasty. Special mention to the lovely staff, very pleasant and nothing too much trouble.
