The staff hung out at the front counter laughing and talking about certain customers. They didn't think certain customers understood Portuguese. It was clear that a lot of the staff were fake and did not like certain customers. I was constantly waiting for my room to be clean and I had to continually beg for washcloths. The hotel is not near the toursist areas, so you will need to walk a distance to get to shops, tourist events, and other tourist.

The airport shuttle is a great perk, be sure to arrange it in advance (both ways), else your ideal/preferred time may not be available. We were also quite happy with the breakfast in the morning. It is an easy 5 minute walk to the metro, and from there just four stops (no transfers) and you're in the heart of the main tourist area. Turns out there is literally nothing open for dinner within half a mile of the hotel, so plan to be downtown for dinner (or else eat at the small restaurant in the hotel, which we ended up having to do the first night - it was fine, not amazing, but we were grateful it was available as an option). The room was fine, not large but had decent storage and bathroom. It was clean and felt safe, AC worked well. We were very satisfied overall.

Really friendly, well run, clean hotel about 300 meters from the metro station. Airport shuttle is a great free service but arrive at airport after 8:00pm and it’s Uber or Metro. Only minus point, though a small one, is there are no good restaurants nearby but there are plenty in Porto only 15 minutes away on the metro. Recommend this hotel.

We really appreciate the airport pick up. Every staff member that we encountered was very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was a nice choice of hot foods, fruit, yogurt, breads, and pastries, .

Delightful breakfast

We had a lovely stay at Hotel Jaguar. The staff and management team were exceptional. For my mom's 70th birthday they prepared a cake and sang to her while having breakfast. We're so grateful to everyone for going on and beyond and making my mom's birthday that much more special. The hotel is nicely located - about a 30-minute walk to the Mercado Bolhao and other great attractions. We definitely recommend Hotel Jaguar and will stay here again once we return to Porto.

We enjoyed our short stay at Hotel Jaguar Oporto. The best part of the visit was the customer service from the time we reserved our room. We signed up for the free shuttle to and from the airport...there wasn't a single complication. Our room was terrific and the bed was great! The breakfast buffet provided a nice variety to start the day. The people in the breakfast area were helpful and ever so pleasant...another great way to start the day! If we return to Porto, Hotel Jaguar will definitely be a place to stay! Thank you to all of the staff of Hotel Jaguar Oporto!

Shuttle service was really helpful instead of metro when I just got off the plane and jet lagged.
