Excellent but old hotel

Baking hot concrete block next door to a demolitions site with noisy heavy machinery working and my windows obscured by thick grime. The air conditioning didn't work and looked as though it was decommissioned long ago. The bathroom taps were difficult to turn off and I was fearful of a flood…. Maintenance generally seemed poor…. Fitting and carpets were pretty much worn out…. Curtains didn’t quite cover the windows to exclude light…. Uncomfortable stay and not cheap. I was glad to leave.

Hotel is very run down now used to be a premier inn and it was well maintained but very grubby looking and rooms aren’t great

Place is very outdated. Looked like a refugee camp. Shady looking characters were constantly going up and down in the elevator. Felt a bit unsafe and would not recommend to anyone.

Absolutely terrible,poor, very outdated,smell was so bad, couldn't look out the windows,dirtyest place I've ever seen,so bed couldn't stay the night in the so called Britannica inn, sleeping outside seemed cleaner, couldn't bring myself to stay in it,so had to drive home after the show we went to see,best advice DO NOT BOOK THE BRITANNIA INN IN GLASGOW,YOU WILL REGRET IT

The breakfast was excellent.

Staff friendly, hotel has immigrant people in and out, hanging out side reception , demolishing buildings at the side we stayed at started 7.30 am every morning of or stay ,so no rest ,won’t be back which is a shame as we visit Glasgow a lot

Premises are old but functional. Surrounding area is a construction zone but did not disrupt stay with noise or dust. Had great night's sleep
