immaculate property with incredible history; perfect location for stepping outside to dozens of restaurants, taverns, and shops; walkable to plaza mayor; limited in-room amenities but seems in-line with similar locations across spain; staff splits time with sister property next door so sometimes have to pop over to ask for front desk assistance but very minimal if any wait time for staff to hop back over; easy access to bar and restaurant which sits atop a glass floor exposing ruins of the medieval fortress upon which the hotel was built; limited rooms so easy to get assistance; no mini bar but restaurant and bar right downstairs; would stay again!

Excellent location near restaurants and local attractions. We enjoyed our balcony view. We did not buy breakfast or eat/drink at hotel as prices were higher than area nearby. Would stay again!

This is a very lovely, small hotel located in a beautiful part of Madrid. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. The staff was friendly and eager to help. Helen was exceptional. I highly recommend this hotel.

Great comfortable hotel with great staff. Our room was very comfortable and clean although a little small. The highlight is that this hotel is on probably the coolest street in Madrid, walkable to everything. We had a great stay!

Boutique type hotel and well maintianed in a perfect location for a night out.

Staff was very kind and helpful. The rooms are spotless and the building has a lot of character.

Stayed at Posada del León de Oro for two nights and it was lovely. They front desk folks were lovely and helpful and held out bags because we arrived early. Our room was bigger than I expected and very modern in contrast to the building and neighborhood. The room has AC and an amazing shower. The neighborhood is quiet at night and even in the morning it wasn’t loud. Lots of restaurants options and super accessible to several metro stations and walking distance to many attractions including La Plaza Mayor. Would not hesitate to go back.

I just spent 2 nights solo in Madrid. Perfect little hotel in an amazing walkable location. Kind staff and the room was very clean. Not a very fancy experience but great value and amazing location.

Property location exceeded expectations. It was central to most tourist attractions. Unfortunately, The room was very small and smelled musty after long day’s absence. the room was situated one floor above the restaurant and bar and it was noisy till 12 midnight. Our saving grace was that the hotel restaurant closed for two days during our stay and we were able to get some peace in quiet.
