Surprising little gem close to everything. Shower was hot and had great pressure, spacious room, beds were comfy, affordable price, convenient location. Would definitely book again. Friendly staff on arrival, convenient parking.

Lovely motel, my partner has stayed here previously and recommended it. I was very happy, although I made the mistake of not requesting a room with kitchenette facilities. We will be back again when sport brings us to Mackay again.

Hotel is old but rooms are clean and quiet with new split system aircons and the usual appliances. You will get a good night's sleep here if you don't want any noise disturbing you.
Location very convenient being in the Mackay CBD.
Staff allowed us to use the reception freezer to keep an ice pack cold for my daughter's medication.

This is my third stay at the Shakespeare Motel, it is always excellent, very modern rooms, great sized TV, free wifi that works well.
Very friendly and welcoming staff.
Highly recommend.
