Loved our stay at this hotel. The host was amazing, friendly, and took care of all requests we had. They offer tours at good prices as well but we unfortunately didn't have the opportunity to take advantage of that. We stayed for five nights and our room was cleaned and sheets were replaced everyday. The only downside was that the bathroom sink was a bit small and the placement of the toilet was cramped. But once we got adjusted to that in a day, everything was completely fine The hotel was difficult for us to find on the first day with Google Maps' directions, but the overall location of the hotel is in a very good place. Within just 10-20 mins is Aya Sofya, Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace and many other museums. The T1 tram used to access many areas was only 5 minutes away. We loved our time in Istanbul because of how easy it was to access everything, with our hotel being a great starting point. Prices for food and snacks were lower and fairer than in the main streets.

Staff-Ahmed was amazing and very understanding. We lived 3 days there. Facilities were nicely.

Kitchen was fully equipped. Had several restaurants walking distance. The grand bazaar is about a 12 minute walk away. Several great shopping options on the side streets walking up the hill to the grand bazaar that are way cheaper with same products. There is a grocery store in the same street 2 minutes away walking. Fresh fruit and vegetables available. There isn't an elevator so if you have a lot of luggage consider booking the first floor suite. Very convenient. The front desk clerk or male housekeeping staff will carry up to other floors. Doesn't have traditional comforter so room was a bit cold. Does have heater but didn't really warm up enough. So depending on your time of year to visit you may need heavy pajamas.

I had a pleasant 5-day stay in Capricorn. For a very reasonable amount, I had a large room, refrigerator, microwave, hot plate and strong internet. Water pressure was good. There are a number of grocery stores nearby so you can shop and prepare your own food. The location allowed me to simply walk to tourist sites like Hagia Sophia, the former Hippodrome and the Sultan Ahmed mosque. Places a little more distant like Galata or Taksim Square can be reached via the T1 tram. The Cemberlitas stop is close by. There are, however, two things that travelers should note. From the Cemberlitas stop to Capricorn there is a very steep incline. This is manageable if just walking but was a challenge when I had my luggage with me. So if you have mobility limitations, this will not be the hotel for you. The second thing is that there are no elevators and there is only a narrow set of winding stairs. Again, this was manageable for me but may be difficult for others.

I like👍 good hospitality

I stayed at the Capricorn Apartments for 2 nights with two friends and we really liked it - for the excellent value, Istanbul was generally expensive and this apartment was a great deal. The small apartment was comfortable and had everything we needed, including a small efficiency kitchen. Abdalah at the front desk spoke perfect english and was easy to understand and super responsive and helpful in booking sunset cruise, taxi service and anything we needed. The location can be a little hard to find, with small streets that appeared to be very often blocked by delivery trucks and we had to walk up a few flights of stairs (so anyone who isn't quite mobile may have a harder time here but we thought it was great). It's a short walk from the main area of SultanAhmed and close to the Grand Bazaar. we would definitely stay again. thanks.

The hotel is central to many of the big sites in Istanbul. It’s attached to a travel agency. The reception desk staff is very helpful. Room itself was ok. There was black mold in the bathroom however and women’s hair on the towels and kitchen sponge. Could have been cleaner.

Abdalah was very professional and took good care of us. He guided us about tours etc and booked it for us. Service was excellent and room was clean and hotel is close to all major attractions. I would stay there again. 👍
