Please note, according to the fiscal legislation of the country, only Colombian residents abroad and foreign guests who have Visa TP12 - or tourist visa stamp PIP3, PIP5, PIP6, PIP10, TP7, TP11, coin sello of 90 days are tax-exempt of 19% VAT, this applies only when buying a tourist package (accommodation plus service). The guest has to show this when checking in. All minors under 18 years of age also need to present a valid ID with photo, to prove their identity and that of his/her parents. This must be presented even if a minor is accompanied by his/her parents. If a minor is accompanied by an adult other than his parents, it is necessary to present a written authorization for the minor to check into the hotel.
