Easy to pass if driving so need to keep your wits about you. Better signage might help. Parking limited but available. Staff are actually at the next door property but the bell is connected and someone came quickly to let me in and show me round. They were friendly and communication was good. Room was basic but very clean. The bed was comfy, the shower good and there were tea and coffee making facilities. If you're out most of the day exploring what more do you need. The location is good with lots of shops and plenty of places to eat nearby. Buses into Oxford centre are regular and it's an easy straight shot in.

This room should not be rented out during summer. The room was in the attic (sort of a third floor), up 4 short flights of stairs, with two large roof windows facing full afternoon sun. The room was unbearably hot during the entire afternoon/evening and well into the night every day of my 6 day stay. I was out of the room each day by about 8am, so I am not sure at what time of day it became unbearably hot, but I suspect if may have been by early afternoon. I could not endure spending any more time than absolutely necessary in this room as it was making me feel physically unwell due to the stress of the heat each and every day. The separate shared bathroom (toilet, vanity sink and shower) in the adjacent room was also unbearably hot, so much so that as soon as I got out of the shower and dried myself, I was instantly drenched in sweat and needed to get out of the tiny bathroom because I could hardly breathe. The room was so small you couldn't even open the door more than a third of the way due to it hitting the vanity sink. I had to spend time at the local supermarkets and restaurants from 5-approximately 10pm, to seek refuge there during the most unbearably hot hours for this accommodation. There was a small desk fan and the windows did open so I could finally cool the room down by about 1-2am if I opened the windows by about 10pm. I slept poorly, due to the heat. This room would pose a health hazard to many people, the young, old or any with an underlying medical condition.

Impersonal contacts - by phone and entry numbers. A reasonably efficient sterile experience. Is this the future? Reviex Refused!! So you want only good ones!

GreT location about @ mile from Oxford and great museums. Very helpful staff. This is a guest hiuse not a hotel.

Shower found not to be working properly. Informed of a continental breakfast was included but you are linked by another guest house twp doors away and if you stay in this one you will not get breakfast unless you pay an additional £8.00 per person . On the plus there is a nice pub ti eat not far away

When I arrived at the property, it was unstaffed. There was a list of eight telephone numbers to call. I called one and was directed to open several key safes before the right key was found. When I reached my room, I found that instead of being the “standard” room I’d booked, it was a cheaper “compact room” - much more cramped and much less pleasant. I felt that cleanliness and maintenance left something to be desired - there was cracked and flaking paint, the electrics felt to me pretty amateur with an upside-down light switch, inaccessible desk sockets and a hard-wired extension in flex; there was a squashed moth in one of the walls and grime around. the shower caddy. The towels looked clean but smelt as if they had been stored in a busy kitchen. At night, the property was noisy and I could smell cigarette smoke, presumably from a nearby room. While the property promised a continental breakfast for about £10, there was nowhere to get breakfast. The in-room instructions made it clear that we should ask staff if we encountered any problems. Except there were no staff. I have tried to get help from the property via Expedia’s check-in feedback and messaging systems, but so far I have had no luck.

1. Absolutely atrocious checkin and checkout. If my friend (in another city in the Uk) didn’t have a local sim, I wouldn’t be able to checkin at all. Checkout was just as bad. I sent 5 emails to Expedia, multiple to the property and none form the property were answered. Checkin and checkout instructions were not provided. The reception was in another building but that was never communicated. 2. No toiletries were provided. 3. No coffee or tea was provided. 4. Booked the room for 2 people and only got 1 towel. 5. Would avoid this property altogether. It caused me so much headache.

Ok stay, central, clean and comfy bed. Can do with more than just hand soap in the bathroom.. Key was in wrong lock box but sorted within a few minutes.

I normally don’t leave reviews but for something like this I was extremely disappointed. The room I was in was not clean and when I asked the property owners to change the sheets they said that I put something on it, mind you I’d just gotten there two minutes ago and they were showing me my room. The outlet was undone and felt dangerous. The bathroom was so small you couldn’t open the door all the way as it would hit the sink half way through. This wasn’t a very cheap rate either, the easy hotel down the street was charging 5£ less than they did but I decided to go with this because I wanted a more authentic experience and the pictures online looked cozy. Overall was it the worst place you could have? No. Would I recommend it to someone else? Also no. Would I come back? Definitely not. I’ll stick to proper hotels from now on after this experience.

Shower didn't drain well and shower door broken
