My room was excellent. Ordered dinner and drink. Waited ages for drink and eventually rather busy waitress came up with the goods. The one I ordered from had vanished. The vanishing waitress who took my food order, was careful to ask about food allergies. I told her gluten free please. When my prawn (actually shrimp plus one prawn) cocktail arrived it had bread with it. I asked if it was gluten free. ‘No’ was the reply. Took it away and brought some inedible presumably GF stuff which I didn’t eat and also rejected at breakfast. Main course was a celeriac dish which was very nice. It was 5 percentage celeriac, 0.5 percent green veg, the rest potato. I managed 1/2 the potato. I rest my case.

Arrived at 8pm. Room was still not ready. Booked a room with 2 single beds but only a double was available. Beds did eventually get changed but this took a bit of extra time to get done. Hotel is very nice in general and clean. Breakfast is expensive for what it is. Food quality is good but the eggs are poor and not the best. The other food at Breakfast was good. Stayed at this hotel as I was travelling to IWM Duxford the next morning which is only 15 minutes down the road so was good for this location. Hotel is easy to get to as its just off the M11 so good if you are looking for a stay over before getting to London. Car parking is a further £20 so take this into account when booking. Hotel was priced at £115 per night then add the car parking + £36 for breakfast (for 2 people) then it soon mounts up.

This community center event location is excellent, offering a quiet and pleasant stay. However, I have a complaint about the bathroom shower. It doesn’t drain well, and despite alerting the staff, the issue hasn’t been resolved. As a result, I resorted to taking quick showers.

超赞 Spacious room with a fridge. Staff friendly and courteous. Had a nice meal in the restaurant, skipped the breakfast. Bit of a desolate location, nothing much around in walking distance.
