I am not sure how this property received a 10/10 by so many travelers. The photos and reviews for this hotel were very deceiving. I will say that it is an extremely convenient location, directly behind Playland, but that also makes it an extremely loud location. The other positive was that we only stayed one night, and therefore had the ability to use the pool and two decently equipped showers on the last day. Aside from that, I would not stay here again. The exterior is very poorly maintained showing significant signs of wear and tear that are not noticeable in the advertised photos. The property features astroturf throughout the property that looks very old and dingy. It's not expensive and can easily be replaced. The pool area did not look like it had been blown or power washed in a while and it was very early in the season to be looking like that. The biggest concern for me was that our room smelled "musty" which is a clear indicator of a mold situation. Luckily, we only stayed one night, but I would not have been happy if we had to stay more than one. That seems to need immediate remediation. I felt gross staying here to be honest and it was a little hard to relaxed. The towels and sheets were clean and the staff was friendly, but aside from that, I would not stay here again. The sister property across the street looked immaculate, not sure why this one was so poorly maintained.

Room was clean and nicely air conditioned. Pool was clean and nicely maintained.

The rooms were clean, however the outside was not very well maintained.

Great location and nostalgic Motel. Would have been happier with a room that was not confronted with a wall. It was in an exterior hallway. No light could come in

We had wonderful interactions with Domingo, the property manager. He was very kind and very helpful. The property genuinely cares about people having a wonderful stay.

The rooms were spacious and clean and the beds were comfortable. Less than a block walk to Boardwalk. Mini fridge in room. Microwave in shared space on main level near ice machine. Hotel is very close to boardwalk and very close to Amusement rides. Rides are active with music until 10pm on weekends. If planning to sleep prior to this time request a room on the pool side or near Ocean Ave. Free parking at hotel was excellent.

Location was great and close to everything. Our girls were sad. The pool wasn’t working, but otherwise a phenomenal day and the staff was super nice
