Very easy check in and very clean room!

Great place to spend 4th of July weekend!

I didn't like it here; there were issues with the room access code. The dark-colored towels had bleach stains, and the bed linen wasn't washed properly. The overall impression was terrible.

DO NOT BOOK HERE IF YOU WANT SECURITY!! We were LOCKED OUT, our door code was changed WITH NO PRIOR NOTICE/ WARNING. I checked my email, my expedia messages, and my phone messages and received NO NOTICE about them changing it. All of our belongings were in the room. First night our code worked fine, next day we were out driving all day and were super tired just to come back at midnight and find our code stopped working. I called their “24/7 support line” multiple times and NO ONE ANSWERED for the LONGEST TIME!!! They FINALLY texted me saying my code was changed. When I asked for an explanation, they COMPLETELY IGNORED ME!!! I STILL HAVENT GOTTEN AN ANSWER!! The bed was also extremely uncomfortable, AC didn’t work, the floors were disgusting and there was hair in the shower. If you are wanting a pool, their pool is a joke. The service is absolutely absurd and I highly recommend you book elsewhere. They are also NEVER on site so its absolutely impossible to get ahold of anyone.

Blue jay lodge is close to all of South Lake tahoes big areas, but still on a quiet strip. They do give you tickets for $5 off if you want to go to the private beach which is 3 min drive. We enjoyed our stay. There was a few cons: 1) there is no attendant there so everything is done online including room key and we kept getting messages (about 4-5) over our 1 night stay. 2) rooms walls are extremely thin. We could hear every conversation of couple next door, just as a warning. 3) check in is at 4pm, but check out was before 11am. If it was 3pm check in and 12pm check out, it would be much much better. It’s just too late to check in and early to check out. Overall, it was a good stay but if those things were improved, it would be even better
