I would love to give a glowing review of this place - the room was nice and spacious, it was serene being surrounded by nature, servers and spa workers were great.
- However -
I booked on Expedia, paid the vast majority of the price at time of booking, and upon my departure realized that the hotel charged me the full amount again (plus incidentals of course). I understand mistakes happen, but once I made them aware of this they threw up their hands and put the responsibility on me to dispute with Expedia. It’s a real quick way to ruin a whole vacation on the way out. I did put in a dispute with Expedia and my credit card. They have since informed me that I will get a refund, probably only after these two put them on notice. No one has informed me of what went wrong to make this happen.
Overall, the operation was done very well, and I will eventually get my money back, so redeemed to three stars. But I still can’t ignore that there are some workflow issues in how they coordinate or don’t coordinate payments with Expedia.

We had the most incredible time at Habitas. Absolutely stunning setting on the beach, super friendly team and amazing restaurant. Would book again in a heartbeat.

The room, actually a spacious canvas hut, was quite comfortable, quiet, clean and beautifully surrounded by jungle vegetation. My only complaint was that the outdoor shower had no hot water, and I didn't really like going out to the outdoor toilet at night. Also, the included breakfast was great, the resort had a small but nice beach area and pool. They do need to upgrade their kitchen cuisine. For the price expected a better dinner menu.

Adorable cabins with incredibly comfy beds, great bar and restaurant, charming activities and a superb staff. We loved every second of our stay - both the super fun Sunday afternoon DJ party, and the quiet evenings by the beach. We'd love to come back!

Special place in rainforest with beach access. Super friendly staff. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Beach bar and restaurant serve good food and drinks. Wellness is essential at spa and early yoga sessions.
