Bathroom can use some updates

It was our first time visiting Beijing and the hotel is very centrally located to shops, restaurants, and famous sites to visit, and very walkable area. Upon entering the hotel, we were greeted by friendly staff, and the lobby was very grand and provided a luxurious atmosphere. My sister, her husband, and I stayed in two different rooms in the older building of the Neo property so that room furniture and bathrooms were a bit dated, but the rooms were large with a living room and bedroom, air conditioned, and cleaned thoroughly. The amenities such as slippers, robes, shampoo/body wash products were high quality. When we checked-in, the reception staff had limited English speaking skills, but there were two staff members who had stronger English conversation skills that were excellent and provided exceptional service. There was a blonde European woman, Ksenia, in the reception desk who directed us towards the correct elevators to our rooms, spent extra time to provide walking instructions to restaurants and sites in the area. We are so thankful to her and she really showed a high level of service. Also, Coolio in Concierge was super helpful and professional, he registered us for Tiananmen square, ordered cars, and provided advice whenever we needed. The hotel was very well maintained, centrally located, and most staff provided great service. I would stay in this hotel property again when visiting Beijing.

Staff was very helpful. A good variety of dishes to choose from at breakfast and very tasty.

Wjat cam we say, the hotel is stunning, the location is perfect and Kseniia (not 100% sure of her title) but that is irrelevant. This charming lady made our Beijing stay perfect. Friendly. Helpful. Professional. Kind. One of the best hotel staff we have ever encountered.

All staffs are friendly and helpful.location is very convenient. We bought two breakfasts , it was good enough to start your day. But the room was not clean enough. First room they gave us was not usable because the terrible smell built up in washroom, and the baseboards were molded and black bacteria buildup around the baseboards .we saw insects running around the bathroom. So we requested to change a room. The second room was better than first one , but it was same In bathroom, terrible smelling and dirty towels with grey color. The bathtub was not usable because of full of black bacteria buildup around and in it. We bought chlorine bleach to clean it , but it didn’t work. We complained to cleaner, she did some work but the problems were still existing. The hotel is very old with some history , the public area were very well maintained and with remarkable upgrades. It’s a great pity no upgrades have been done to the guest rooms! So it is not a five stars hotel for guests at all ! We didn’t get chance to use the gym and swimming pool because a local event was going on and it was very crowded. I have to say it was not worthy to pay five stars price to stay here.

The room equipment is very old. The bed is also very old and ugly. No one helped to drag out the luggage when we leaving the hotel.

Hotel itself was very nice, though the location was PERFECT! Tons of shopping options nearby and walkable to Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City and metro stations to everywhere. I highly recommend this hotel and don’t forget to get the breakfast buffet option!

Did not know that the room was going to be in the older part of the hotel. Lights not working, room felt very old and requires a lot of work.

Lovely hotel staff very helpful wifi is absolutely awful

The hotel was very beautiful and well maintained, breakfast quality was excellent and the staff were super friendly and helpful!
