Surpassed my expectations. Stayed at the Maxx for a mini conference and was significantly impressed. My room was on the top 4th floor which provided a great view of the rooftops on Potsdam.
Everyone and everything with the Maxx went well: clean room and hotel. Attentive staff. The best location in terms of Sanssouci Park, area restaurants, and easy accessible to the tram or buses.

I stayed for 2 nights. When I checked in, the receptionist wrote down I am able to get breakfast for one morning. I had to ask for new pillows because there were some mold.
When I checked out, they said I have to pay for breakfast because I originally didn't pay? Why would you mark it on my key card holder saying I can when you're going to charge me in the end? Pretty shady. Then it took a while to charge me for breakfast and my uber that I reserved ended up canceling on me so from a 27 euros uber now I have to pay over 100 euros. If you want reliability, do NOT come here unless you're not going to the airport.
They said they don't know if they can get me a refund for the breakfast since it was their mistake. :)

We loved our stay in this charming modern property. The list of positives; room had AC as it was hot during our stay. Appreciated the daily small bottles of complimentary water! Shopping in delicious dinning were walking distance as well as the Sancucci park and castles. Public transportation was at the corner. The room was non smoking. The bed was comfortable. Daily breakfast was optional we chose to eat at the local restaurants. Desk staff was always so helpful a cordial. Shower water purified. Credit option at the bar or restaurant for not changing the linens everyday.
Small inconvenience -The restaurant and bar did not stay open late. Thank you for a comfortable and memorable stay!

Almost a secret hideaway as it's so close to Berlin which draws most visitors. The hotel is next door to the Sansoucci Palace and gardens and is easy to reach vie train and tram. The cobbled avenue that leads to the Dutch quarter is fabulous, filled with artisan shops and friendly restaurants. We struck gold picking this hotel and this location

This lovely hotel provided a clean, comfortable overnight stay with excellent proximity to the sights of Potsdam. It was a bit of an uphill walk to Sanssouci Palace, but buses/taxis were available. Several interesting restaurants were nearby.
We breakfasted at A Taste of Britain and it was worth the wait.
