This room was spacious with lots of light sources for creating a warm, calm evening mood or a bright working space. The tub was deep for soaking and the shower had strong water pressure. Slippers are provided and excellent bidet toilet with a strong flush. Good AC in the room. The windows throughout the hotel and room are frosted so you can't see out your windows, but plenty of natural light can still come through. The walls are thicker than standard too. One night, we had a family next door with multiple young kids screaming and literally bouncing off the walls (I can only imagine what was happening in there!). We heard muffled sounds, but when we opened the room door and went in the hallway, it was so loud! I was very impressed with how muffled it was from inside our room. We also couldn't hear any outside noise despite construction outside across the street. Overall, the street was not busy or loud though. It's a quiet neighborhood. There is a washer/dryer combo downstairs. You will need more drying time to completely dry your clothes. There is also ice and cold water available in the same room downstairs with a sleek clear acrylic pitcher provided in the room. This was great for refilling water bottles and making tea and coffee in the room. The hotel also offers lots of free toiletries in the room and on a table by the front desk. They also have umbrellas free to use by hotel guests. This was my favorite stay over all the cities we stayed in while on vacation in Japan.

Location was amazing for us, everything near by. Staff was super friendly and helpful! Place was great, very neat and cute!

The room is really big with a tatami area where you can relax. You can move the beds around easily. Everyone in the front desk speaks fluent English. It has an old school key lock. It only has roughly 12 rooms. So even though it only has 1 washer, it was empty every time we have to use it. It also had an ice and water machine. It is in a quiet neighbourhood that is close to many shrines. The only minor complaint I have is there was a weird smell coming from either the washroom or the shower room. We had to turn the exhaust fan on the entire time to get rid of it. Also the TV was positioned in away such that it took me 5 minutes to connect the HDMI.

Beautiful hotel in an awesome location. Friendly staff. Room was spacious with a huge bathroom and separate toilet. Was a great stay!

みやこめっせでの仕事にいくために宿泊しました。近くに静かなバルもあり、軽食を1人でとるにも便利でした。周辺もコンビニ、スーパーがあり多少の買い物も困りません。大通りに近くタクシーも広い安いです。ホテルの室内がやや暗く、洗面台はメイクをするにはもう少し明るいライトを用意してほしいです。新しくきれいな宿でした。

A little bit hard to find at first, but it’s in a convenient spot

Located in a very quiet neighborhood near convenient stores and restaurants. Very clean hotel and friendly staff. A block away is a river, it is peaceful and serene. Keep in mind that housekeeping comes every 4 days and the lobby hours are very limited, staff isn't there 24hrs. Check in is at 4pm. Also read the washer and dryer directions very carefully because it washed my clothes again and I had to pay to dry it again. Overall, I highly recommend for a stay in Kyoto.

Great location, plaseant and comfortable room, nice and quiet building. Not enough storage space for family of four.

Hotel is away from the crowd but in a super conveniet location. Close to Higashiyama Sanjo subway station and walking distance to major attractions. Enjoyed browsing around the neighborhoold to feel the life of the locals. Wonderful options for meals, from authentic french pastry for breakfast to fusion with local fresh ingredients for dinner. The premises is very well maintain and equipped. Enjoyed staying in the room with two twin beds as well as tatatmi area - the fusion of modern and tradition.

Overall experience is good, hotel condition is excellence, only thing missing is lack of water dispenser.
