Due to multiple flight delays I didn’t arrive until 1 am the day after I was scheduled to check-in. The staff were amazing as I stayed in contact with them and a friendly gentleman was able to meet me after hours, check me in and help me carry up my suitcase as I came out of the rain. I knew my room was small but was pleasantly surprised that it was the coolest room with its own enclosed area outside so I could leave the windows open overnight to cool off the room with the heat wave and listen to the rain fall and thunder crash. I only needed the room to sleep, refresh and store my luggage so was perfect for my needs. It did remind me more of an Airbnb. There was a lovely breakfast place nearby and the canal right outside the hotel. The staff even offered to hold my luggage for me. Thanks to the amazing staff for a great first experience in Europe.

Great place to stay just a few minutes walk from Amsterdam Centraal. I was in the smallest room at the back of the hotel so had no canal view, but the room was clean and since all I really needed was a bed and a shower it did its job. I stayed for 3 nights and the room wasn’t made up in that time, which was also fine with me. It’s cheap and cheerful, not boutique.

Great locations but a tiny single bed in a tiny room with no furniture? The sink was an embarrassment, the view out of the window was not, a piece of corrugated steel, they were working on the basement foundation and started at 7am Absolutely disgusting to charge over $200 for this

It’s not a hotel. It’s not even a hostel. A building with Bed sits. Avoid.

This is a no-frills hotel. It is clean and it is in a great location. The proprietor, Melvin, is the nicest person ever and is so helpful, a really nice guy. The property itself is just very very basic. The bathroom is extremely tiny, no elevator, and very steep stairs. There is no lobby, and the small office is under construction. Great view. Personally, I wouldn’t stay there again but if you want a small, clean room at a reasonable price, this will do nicely for you. And, you get to meet Melvin.

Canal view is in fat the view of the bottom of a light well, for the price that's way too expensive. Wasn't very clean either.

The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, but very small and cramped. The price is very high for the quality of the hotel. Most likely due to the fact it is right on a canal. The picture depicting the hotel is deceiving as it shows the building next door, not the actual hotel we stayed in. The door going in and out of the hotel slams shut very loudly. As our room was right above it, it made us jump every single time. There should be a sign that says "please mind the door as it slams shut". Our host Melvyn was great. He was helpful and friendly. No big complaints but not sure we would stay there again.

We gave it all five starts because we LOVED the canal view. It’s an old building with really steep stairs, but this was charming to us. Nothing fancy but great location, clean and we slept great! Close to train station was nice as well. Melvyn checked us in and was very helpful and friendly! Thanks for a great stay!

Hotel was in a great area, staff was very friendly and accommodating but this is more of an Air b&b type room. Better for people traveling who don’t plan on being in their room much.

I stayed here for 2 nights and my experience was very bad. Firstly, this is not really a hotel, it feels more like an Airbnb. My room was on the third floor and the stairs were extremely steep and unsafe. There was no customer service, no housekeeping during my entire 2-night stay I was only given 2 towels, no toilet paper, and no hot water in the tap (only in the shower, and that too after one day). Nobody came to clean the room. It’s definitely not worth €300 for 2 nights. The only good thing about this place is its location in the city center.
