Wonderful location. Made everything so easy. Our only complaint is that parking was additional cost. This didn't seem to be the case everywhere, and there was plenty of parking to be had. Honestly, I'd rather have the parking cost built into the cost of the room than feeling like I'm being nickel and dimed by having to pay extra for parking. But everything else was fantastic.

We stayed in classic double ground floor. Room was clean although showed signs of age in particular the bathroom. Bed was comfortable, but squeaky, pillows hard. Window frames were rotting on the outside. Only one bottle of complimentary water.Booked via Expedia so required to pay additionally for parking and use of spa. Dining area carpet showed significant signs of wear and tear,… looked shabby and dirty in places. Breakfast self serve was fine. Re Spa, it was a bit gloomy in the pool area but the pool was a good size.
Staff were pleasant and helpful. Location convenient for Stirling Castle.
Overall it was fine for a one night stay, and the history of this former school gave it some charm, but it could do with a refresh!!

Beware if booking this property on a third party site like hotels.com as they then charge you £10 to park and another £10 to use the amenities.

Staff was wonderful. Hotel was old but clean. We were traveling as a family of four with two teens, booked two rooms. Unfortunately we did not get connecting rooms which was fine for us but might be an issue for others. The main issue OA as is typical Scotland, there was no air conditioning and it was incredibly warm. No fans in the room and windows only open a tiny bit. Great location, nice staff but plan accordingly of heat bothers you.
