I thought we were going back to units we had been to a few years back - I got it wrong. The place is very run down and I so you l presume the property is being renovated a unit at a time. We had a budget unit. The information re wifi was not clear on the map/info given on arrival. The unit had not been completely renovated and the driveway outside was a mess. I am sure they have nicer units and would recommend they take the back units off the market until the outside area is brought up to standard.

Spectacular views, best part of stay.

Clean room but shared facilities outside and away from building.

The tv didnt work, was told a repairman was coming. Didnt see anyone. Shower was a pitiful trickle, no pressure in it. Our friends were in the room next door & had the same issues. I wouldnt recommend a stay there.

No pub, no restaurant, rundown and tired. 1970 it would if been lovely. One set of rooms upgraded, called superior:Not. Just a wee bit more modern

There was no heating in the room, there was no cutlery, shower was pathetic

This property either needs to be closed or renovated desperately. The electric blankets are like from the 80s one was broken and the other was hanging on to its dear life. I didn't use it and suffered the bitter cold and the dirty blanket. The toilet literally came off the floor when I sat slightly to one side. We were on our way to Milford Sound from Queenstown and all rooms in Te Anau were completely booked. When we arrived at the hotel office and asked if I could use the toilet, the staff said there was none for guests. We had to drive out and around the closed cafe to reach our room. Everything was like a scene from Bates Motel. Our trip to New Zealand was wonderful with all the friendly and welcoming people, except this one downside.

Most of the property was abandoned. It was the only reservation left during high season- so we had no choice.

Shower heads need updating, slippery tubs, great deck views, housekeeping didn’t fully clean, no air conditioning, outdated styles, poor painting,
