一般 I considered several hotels for this trip but ultimately chose La Mamounia because of its reputation as one of Marrakech's most iconic hotels, despite it being at a much higher price point. Unfortunately, it was a real disappointment.
Throughout my stay, I couldn't shake the feeling that I was being watched. There seemed to be security everywhere, and rather than feeling looked after, I felt like I was constantly being monitored. It created a very uncomfortable atmosphere and made it difficult to relax.
The biggest disappointment came on my final day. I asked if a late check-out was possible and was told noon was the latest available, which I completely understood. I then asked if I could stay in the lobby or continue using the hotel's facilities until I needed to leave for the airport. To my surprise, I was told no and was essentially asked to leave the property once I had checked out.
For a hotel of this reputation and price, I expected much better hospitality. Luxury isn't just about beautiful surroundings, it's about making guests feel welcome. Sadly, that wasn't my experience here, and I left feeling disappointed rather than looked after. I wouldn't choose to stay here again.

It’s a beautiful hotel. Not a road or anything traditional, but absolutely spectacular with the service being top notch. If you want unique, this isn’t it but if you want perfection. This is it.

Loved the restaurants and the staff. Excellent Raib upon arrival. Very attentive and the place was very busy but our room was still quiet. Nice room. Would recommend.

My room was freezing cold. Unfortunately the radiator from 1920 didn’t work. The engineer made 4 trips with different tools at 11:00 at night but still couldn’t get it to work. I slept in my clothes. The shower was lovely but seriously flooded the bathroom with 3 inches of water. My chicken dinner at the Asian restaurant was undercooked which is a recipe for serious illness and rice was $15 extra. Not great value for your money. .the security was oppressive until I understood why and then it was much appreciated.

一般 My bed mattress was so soft that I woke up next day with a very serious back pain. Not good when a week of golf is following your stay at this prestigious hotel. I ask them to correct it , and they did changed the mattress promptly.
Nevertheless , such a high rated hotel ( and high cost one) should not accept from their staff a badly used mattress to the point where it is ruined down.
Another détail: you flush the toilet, yet it does not eliminate the paper still floating after 2-3 flushes. Hum…..

The hotel is very beautiful with absolutely stunning gardens – the grounds really make a big impression and create a wonderful atmosphere. The food is very good and the staff is polite and friendly.
However, you need to be very careful with room location. Rooms not facing the garden are very noisy, which can significantly affect the stay. Communication by email is also quite poor – we never received replies to some of our emails, including one regarding flowers that were delivered to the hotel and were unfortunately of very poor quality.
Overall, we have mixed feelings. On one hand, it is a wonderful and impressive hotel, especially because of the gardens. On the other hand, small issues like noise and lack of email communication negatively affect the overall experience. We would still recommend the hotel, but strongly advise choosing a garden-facing room and confirming important requests in advance.
