Beautiful, spacious and comfortable room that is in excellent condition. Same with the bathroom. Front desk are knowledgeable, professional, friendly and can anticipate our needs before we even ask for it. Same with the bell staff and the security. Free coffee in the morning. Free water all day (in a giant bucket in the evenings and at the bell station during the day). No pool. Fitness center is available but not the best. ROOM 3501 is AMAZING. The corner room understandable has windows on the north and east side of the buildings. We very much enjoyed the sunrise, morning, afternoon and evening views from our room. Couch pulls out into a bed. Vibe is definitely nice. Location is VERY convenient: It's across the street from Central Park and about 2 blocks from a subway station.

We usually stay at the Ritz but prices were up overall due to the World Cup so we tried this property. It was fantastic and we may have found a new favorite.

The best location, wonderfully appointed, clean rooms, and very helpful staff. My family and I would definitely recommend the Essex House for an enjoyable NYC stay.

From the availability of early check in to the day we left, every staff member whom we encountered was exceptionally thoughtful and helpful.

The bar at Bourbon steak had the best cocktails! So fun.

Great location to the park and subway. GREAT staff! This was one of the nicest hotels I have stayed at in NYC. I would go right back.. it was an amazing stay!

Great trip. It’s been 44 years since our last time in the city. Hade a room on the 32 floor overthinking Centerl Park. Servers at the hotel was excellent.

Didn’t use anything from the bar. Really nice towels - thick and fluffy.

The hotel was nice, room was very clean, bed was comfortable. The mini-fridge in the room was purely a minibar with no room for storage (and the door was stuck when I tried to use it). I didn’t ask about this, but it’s something to mention that was unexpected.
