Quintessential Thailand! Location, Hotel and Staff all first class… coming back for sure!

Centara Grand Karon Beach has a beautiful setting overlooking the beach, it is well equipped for families with young kids from preschool to tweens offering shallow pools, lazy river, modest water slides and an adrenalin inducing rock jump. The rooms are very pleasant with great ocean views and there is also an adults only pool. Food wise it is pretty good, the Thai food was our favourite but European seafood, Western kids favourites and some Indian food is on offer. The resort makes an effort to mix things up with night"street food" markets but get in early for those else it's not worth it (ie if back later from a day trip). It's a great place to laze, keep kids occupied and there are plenty of day trip options. If you want to save a bit of cash you can eat very cheaply in the nearby town, also suggest to organise your own transfers and tours as the mark-ups they have through their tours desk are ridiculous. Overall it is a great resort, we enjoyed it and would happily stay at Centara group resorts again.

I have to beg them to come clean my room. Other than that I enjoyed my stay

Very run down hotel does not deserve 5 start. Shocking lobby. And not clean at all cigarette butts everywhere and dirty napping around pool area. Need a proper maintenance and cleaning.

Not a very good option ..!

They failed on both occasions to provide airport pickup and drop off. When asked if we can get picked up, they responded we look forward to seeing you. So, of course nobody picked us up. The day before our departure from the hotel, we asked the front desk in person if they could have a taxi ready at 6am the next day for drop off at the airport. Of course they did not call for a taxi.

Beautiful property with a serene vibe. The amenities are great. The beach access is definitely the USP since the beach is pretty much private, super calm and very beautiful with crystal clear waters. One recommendation to add beach umbrellas and massage people there. Since that’s the reason most people visit Thailand and it would really help increase the flow of customers. But overall amazing

The hotel did not have umbrellas or chairs you could rent for the beach. It was a great looking resort but it lacked in something. When we needed to checkout there was no one at the front so they had to email me a final payment amount. They did decorate for our honeymoon but it was not done before getting us in our room. So we had to wait outside our door for them to complete it but that was just really sweet of them. All in all it was a good stay.

Clean room, and prompt assistance when required. Massive resort! The lazy river was our favourite with the big slides and jumping areas. The pool was great with swim up bar and can order food to your sun lounge. Buffet breakfast was amazing and all staff were eager to help. Restaurants were a bit pricey but you get that with the resortWould definitely recommend to come back.

The hotel app is very useful for communicating with staff. The staff are extremely friendly and always happy to help. The property feels like a tropical paradise. We had a room with private pool which I would highly recommend- when the main pool closes at 7pm you can swim in your own pool for as long as you like and nice to cool down when returning from dinner. Breakfast had everything you could ask for. We will definitely stay here again when we return to Phuket.
