Great location - walkable to many things in Inverness. I stayed in a cottage on the property, Very comfortable- a great stop before going into The Highlands of Scotland.

Lovely clean rooms and bar area. Staff were friendly and helpful. Close to local amenities , with lots of nice eating and drinking places to hand. Had a great room with view of river and castle which was a pleasant upgrade. Will definitely be back and would highly recommend.

Ease of access to town and parking. Would have been nice if had velet for late night arrival.

We deliberately booked this venue as they boasted 6 new EV chargers. They wrote to us in the days before we arrived and again highlighted the chargers. We were therefore very surprised when we got there to learn that they weren't working and apparently hadn't worked for some time. There was however one charger that was working but it was occupied. The next day it was again occupied by the same car and this happened again the following day. When we asked if the car could be moved as it would obviously now be full we were told no and that in fact belonged to a staff member! For a hotel to market amenities that it does not in fact have operational is bad enough but then for a staff member to hog the one actual resource that many customers wanted is, in my view, completely unacceptable. Mark Scobbie, the general manager of the hotel's owner, solicited feedback by way of a stock email after our stay and I fed this back to him. That feedback was completely ignored hence the need to write here. Overall a very disappointing customer service experience.

the room was very clean but the floors in the room and above were squeaky which was annoying at nighttime.

As my wife and I continued our honeymoon through Scotland—transitioning from the perfection of Melville Castle to the Highlands—we checked into the Inverness Palace Hotel. My breakdown: 5 stars Location, 5 Service, 3 Room. Since the room is the main purpose of a stay, my overall rating is a 3. The positives are undeniable. Looking out over the River Ness provides a stunning 5-star backdrop. Service was commendable; staff were welcoming and when we requested a micro-fridge, it was brought up immediately. However, room comforts fell short. The bed was hard and pillows thin. The shower has a frustrating quirk: turning the knob unavoidably blasts you with sitting cold water due to the showerhead's angle. Soap and shampoo were provided, but we had to request conditioner (happily provided, but odd not to include by default). Unwinding was tough since the TV lacked internet or most common streaming apps or ability to download them. The general hot tub was disappointing, running a forced 10-minutes-on/10-minutes-off cleaning cycle. (The separate spa, however, is great!). Also, beware the lift—the door closed so hard on my shoulder it felt like I got tackled! Our exit was clunky: despite arranging a late checkout, our keys deactivated early. We faced pushback on our departure time, though we suspect a simple language barrier rather than rudeness. Great location and staff, but room comforts hold it back. Ironically, the best AirBnB I've ever stayed at is RIGHT behind them!

A lovely hotel in a perfect setting by the river. My only quibble is that one morning at breakfast two staff members had a disparaging conversation about a colleague within earshot of guests. Bar prices were a bit on the high side but other than that The Palace was terrific.

Ok, but room not as good as reception!

Very enjoyable and relaxing stay. When we arrived we thought our room was a little small. When we spoke with the manager about this, she helped in finding us a bigger room at no extra cost. The food was of good quality, but a little limited. Overall I really enjoyed my stay
