We stayed at St George last year in the Atelier Studio with balcony and thought this was absolutely the best hotel in Helsinki. This year we booked the same room expecting the same quality but got one facing the back with basically views of walls. The balcony was a miserable little one. Not once did we step onto it. When we asked to change at reception it was obviously not possible because every room was full. The woman at reception said ”if the balcony is important to you make sure you request one with a view”. Well, given that we paid quite a lot of extra to have the balcony, that would be evident! So yes, this hotel is very nice, just be careful with your room choice! We felt ripped off and probably won’t return

Best breakfast buffet we have ever had in a hotel. Hotel centrally located. Staff is exceptional. Room is large quiet and comfortable. Bathroom has a walk in shower, great shampoo and body wash, Japanese toilet. Sauna, steam, pool, massage were great! Gym is a little small. Would book again in a heart beat.

Really nice bar. Hotel is right in the middle of the city. Tons of restaurants nearby.

Lovely rooms and very clean. Rooms were a little warm and air con range was very limited. Instructions on how to use things in the room would also be nice.

Excellent spa and bar. Unfortunately the buffet breakfast leaves a lot to be desired. Very little options for a sweet tooth and if there is a queue to enter you get told to go to their bakery for additional price.

Centrally located hotel with easy access to all amenities within the city. Staff were friendly, helpful and professional. Breakfast was also fantastic with great service. We also enjoyed the spa but watch out for the slippery floor/take some flipflops. We ate in the Thai restaurant and enjoyed the food though the menu was quite limited compared to eating a Thai in the UK. Staff pushed the expensive banquet option quite hard but we struck with a la carte. We didn't feel the evening staff in the restaurant were as professional as the rest of the hotel staffing.

Wonderful and luxurious room. Breakfast was fantastic. And the staff was the most professional group and so very nice.

Good size rooms, delicious breakfast
