The nicest staff I’ve ever met. Great spot and super clean.

スキー場ヘの利便性は抜群です。またレンタルもできるのでとても良かったです。部屋の古さや清潔さは少し欠けていて残念です。食事は料金を考えると十分です。

Provide coffee at all meals and perhaps at all times in the lobby.

Location, access, quietness, beds, small facilities, were all very good.

Loved our stay here! The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly and went out of their way to make our stay fabulous. We skied right out the front door, convenient ski lockers in basement every night. Loved the beautiful onsen, with a view out to the mountain and snow, fully appointed with toiletries. So much food every night for dinner, lots of vegetables and meat, often hot pot or grill at table and breakfast generous and filling. Futons comfortable, room spacious and warm. Highly recommend!

This is an authentic, traditional family run place. The family and staff were extremely friendly, helpful and courtous during our stay. We hired skiing equipment downstairs and skied out the front door to access the whole of Shiga Kogen mountain area.

The staff were very sweet and patient, and worked really hard to meet every needs of their customers. They even gifted us homemade blueberry jam and stickers when we checked out! ✨

Loved the staff, the onsen and the authentic experience. Room was clean and we had everything we needed.

The hospitality (service and meals) at Shiganoyu Hotel were amazing. While we did not speak Japanese and the staff did not speak English, they used a translation tool for conversation and didn't let that be a barrier. It was so comfortable for our family of 5 - very homey and welcoming. The tea and treat upon check-in was a nice surprise and delicious. The onsen was a relaxing bonus! And the food was amazing and a wonderful experience. We had 3 breakfasts and 3 dinners and they were all different experiences! I would highly recommend this more traditional ryoken experience. The hotel is a little dated but clean. For us, it just added to the charm of this sweet hotel.
