This place is really very good. The location is the best!

I have stayed there for years. From Rachelle at check to checking out everyone was very courteous and professional.

Front desk afternoon/ evening staff on personal device & appeared agitated that they were being disturbed from being on their personal device in order to complete check in. Rude & unhelpful. At times communication very unclear.

This is a restored mansion on Dupont Circle. The property has two parts - rooms in the original mansion, which are near event spaces, and an addition they call a courtyard. Good things about the property: the location is wonderful, the price is reasonable for the area, and the staff are very helpful. Not so good things: the biggest problem with the property is the fixed furnishings. The wardrobes, cabinets and vanities are all made from a cheap particle board that can't handle the DC humidity. The boards are curling, peeling and sometimes falling apart. It leaves a very bad impression. Second, it is not clear if the rooms are cleaned regularly. The beds are just okay, kind of Fairfield Inn quality level. There are not instructions for the washer dryer, and I couldn't get it to work. Things to note: They did not have any events during my stay, but I can see how that might be a problem for light sleepers in the mansion rooms. You have to walk through event spaces to get to the mansion rooms. The courtyard rooms are a little smaller, but probably quieter. The higher courtyard floors have nice views. If you can roll with the substandard fixed furnishings, you can't find a better location. If you need perfection, this is not the place for you.

Overall amazing stay! The location is just impeccable. And the whole property is well maintained and clean. I stayed at courtyard level but it didn’t bother me at all as I got a greenery view of the yard. The dishwasher, microwave, and washer dryer are very helpful for a longer stay. Overall would stay here again!
