I've stayed at hundreds of places over the years and Phangan Beach Resort is in my top five. Bungalows on the beach in Thailand, no crowd (off season, and luckily no rain), beach bar with great food and prices, very nice staff and owners (Mark and Toby), just a beautiful setting and vibe. Quiet and peaceful. We will be back. Thanks to all the staff there.

The room was small but nice enough. The bathroom was very difficult to use as the shower soaks the whole bathroom when in use. The bathroom also had a colony of flying bugs which was not pleasant. There was no handsoap in the bathroom meaning we had to buy some.
Lovely relaxing beach area with a bar that serves food and drink. Friendly staff but service quite slow.
The hotel is quite far out of the centre and if you want to use a taxi for two people it is 400 bhat each way, this is not something that we factored into our budget.
Overall the stay was ok.
