We had a really nice time at the resort the people were friendly and helpful, particularly on the excursions. Lots of young people, many of them inexperienced, and that showed up a little bit at the restaurants. Some super nice workers, but in some cases not terribly efficient or quick. The property is beautiful, although in places it feels a little worn at the elbows and not five-star tidy. Overall, it was more solid than spectacular in that regard. Food too was good, not great. I know I’m sounding picky – our vacation was great – but this place could be next level with a bit more attentiveness and TLC. At a place like this, with nature perpetually converging in, somebody should be cleaning at all times. That’s a tough task at a large property, yes, but you would see that at a Four Seasons or Ritz Carlton. That said, we came away with some great memories and new friends.

Fabulous 4 night trip to Hayman. Just the most beautiful scenery and grounds and a very friendly staff. We enjoyed the excursions snorkeling and seeing Whitehaven Beach. We initially had a lagoon room which we didn’t love so we upgraded to a second floor room overlooking the pool. They were very accommodating. Used the gym and ate at all the restaurants. We also enjoyed the great acoustic guitar player each night.

This is not a 5* resort. The food is back while good, it lacks imagination and a reflection of the local produce. Minimal fish on the menu !! The staff were very friendly and helpful but lacked insight to top level service.ie when ordering a coffee by the pool with a sugar no tea spoon. Water glasses were never filled . The ordering system was all over the place, those delivering food, be it breakfast or dinner had no idea to which table, they would wander around trying to work it out !! This is not a hard thing to fix and is mandatory in any restaurant. The whole resort felt that it lacked good management , little things, clicks not on time digital info boards not working, marks in the ceiling, wall that are easily cleaned. We enjoyed the stay, our beach pavilion was great . Hope this helps

I expected more for a premium resort at $1k + per night. Only 2 restaurants were good - Amici (Italian) and Bam Bam (Asian). Pacific and BBQ was average. The Breakfast was very good with lots of choices. The swimming pool was a highlight. Clean and huge. Pool food at the Aqua restaurant was good. The room was average- stained carpet, broke tiles, mould in the bathroom - but very spacious. The gents toilets in the resort were out of order for most of our stay which was is not acceptable.

The resort needs some love and is ridiculously overpriced. EG Went to the gym four days - there were no towels available for three of those days/ Were sent an email saying we would have drinks and canapes on the boat over - no canapes in sight

I really enjoyed my stay at the IHG in Hayman Island. The break was nice and just what we needed to relax. The hotel staff were super attentive and I could not fault them- from nice personal touches in the room, Christmas gifts and much much more they really did individualise the stay. The facilities in the hotel were excellent and liked how the complex was spaced out. Though at full capacity, you never felt like the hotel was crowded. Though I would not class it as a disappointment, I would argue that the food outside of breakfast was slightly over-priced. The quality and quantity of the food did not match the inflated prices. Understand we are on a remote island. Other than that amazing experience.

Staff are amazing, accommodation was beautiful and food was divine. A luxe experience all round. Only gripe was the visa surcharge when settling the bill and the weekend surcharges at the restaurants, which seems unnecessary especially as they don’t take cash so no other way to pay. When you’re spending so much, this seems an over the top charge.
