The air conditioning units were all out, the line at reception was always long and took forever to get to speak to someone. We were locked out of our room halfway through our stay. The facilities in the common spaces were not kept clean at all. The location was nice, next to the ferry across to canary warf, but that is about the extent of the positives.

Good stay for a hostel. I’ve never stayed in a hostel, but with the heatwave I booked 2 nights with my dog for the AC. Unfortunately, the AC was down. It sounded like it was down for all the rooms but I don’t know. The staff was as helpful as they could be but there was always a little bit of confusion. I had a double room, private because I had my dog. The room was clean, the bed always felt wet but that’s probably because of the heat. The WiFi didn’t really work in my room, but I was able to work at other parts of the property like the bar area or the lobby. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to friends or family

I was there for 7 nights and 8 days. I asked for cleaning service in the counter and they put the wrong date down . OK fine no problem, but the next day all they did was throw the trash and new towels. Nothing else, not new bed sheets, did'nt clean the bathroom etc. I spoke with the manager, and asked her what does the cleaning service consist of and she walked away. There is no microwave. It does say they do have a restaurant but its for breakfast only with a FEE which the website didn't say for breakfast only. The web site needs to be updated because its leading with wrong information. There bar service is not consistent of being open specially the world cup games. The view is decent. The staff or manager never once asked how are we doing if need anything specifically for being there that long. There is a small grocery store at the corner that we went to that had better service and we were able get snacks and drinks that help us thru the evening. Do NOT rent a car, there is a parking FEE of 25 pounds a day . I got 2 tickets out of no-where and rental company has your card and they use it to pay your tickets off. An Uber driver told me while I was there its a tourist trap. The time we were there smoke alarms keeps going off specially in the early morning around 2am. It would take some convincing for me to go back. They need better customer service from staff to managers or vice-versa.

To get checked in takes around 30 min , should be something more simple and quicker No fridge in the room , and we suffered sleepless night in the room with out air conditioning, temperature in the room was 30’ Breakfast ok but not the best , apart that good location and lovely river views

Good location, free ferry

It could have been really good but lots of things need to be better. Checking was 45 mins long in the afternoon, as the online checking via form took a l long time, requiring everyone's details in my party! Why was that needed? It was a hot weekend and our room's air conditioning did not work. We spoke to staff and they promised someone would come to check the controls, no one came. Reception staff said they would come, none came. Then on our third visit down to reception they said they would bring fans to the room. That didn't arrive. We did get a bottle of water instead. Also the room numbers are all confusing with different house numbers and unclear signage. I was worried if the fire alarm went, lots of people would be confused where to go. Bedroom and bathroom were all fine and clean but no kettle facilities in the room!

I recently stayed at a&o London Docklands Riverside, and while some aspects were positive, the overall experience fell short. On the plus side, the room itself was spacious and comfortable. The staff were also a highlight—the receptionist, Victor, was incredibly kind, and the manager on duty during the afternoon of the 21st was highly active and attentive. Unfortunately, we encountered several frustrating issues during our stay: Key Card Glitches: We had persistent trouble entering our room, as the key card failed to work on two separate occasions, requiring trips back to desks to get it resolved. AC and Temperature Control: The air conditioning was completely stuck at 29°C. It couldn't be adjusted, and I eventually had to ask the manager to come and turn it off manually. Smoke and Ventilation: Because the room was so hot, we had to leave the windows open. However, we later had to shut them to prevent outside smoke from coming into the room, which ultimately left us trapped in a very hot, uncomfortable space. While I deeply appreciate the hard work of Victor and the manager, the technical and comfort issues made for a frustrating stay. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this hotel.

We enjoyed our stay ,room had a great view balcony was a bonus but the room could do with a fan or air con because even with windows and balcony door open the room was so hot . Also a kettle in the room would be great to have a cuppa when you wake up, breakfast was very basic but luckily I’m not a breakfast person .for the price would definitely stay here again .

First of all, this is not a Hotel, it’s more of a hostel so if you’re expecting a nicely presented tidy modern room, forget it. Check in was straight forward, but the room they gave me was a multiple bed room with two metal beds and a metal bunk bed. The room hadn’t been cleaned thoroughly, two beds looked slept in, rubbish in the bin, window was broken at the hinges so easily opened, a cherry picker was parked directly outside and the aircon did not work, there was a heatwave going on so it was stifling. I complained and a very helpful gentleman on reception, managed to give me another room, much better condition, clean but the air conditioning wasn’t working either, and it reached 30 deg during the night. You can’t have everything for £130 I guess, must be expecting too much.

Staff were helpful and seemed pleasant, although didn't really need to ask them for much. The room itself was lovely and decent sized, beautiful balcony and an amazing view of Canary Wharf one side and London the other. The bathroom wasn't dirty but definitely looked worn and needed a revamp. The one thing that really let it down was the air-con wasn't working which I get happens however, we were told after we'd already checked in etc. which wasn't comfortable in the slightest when its warm and muggy. No alternatives offered such as fans, we were only handed a flyer.
