Staff and bar very nice.

I loved the Hotel stay with my family. The perfect location, near everything, great patio to sit and watch the world go by, loved the breakfast option. The room, large single king was very nice, neat city view, very nice bathroom, wonderful shower. Very quiet rooms considering being in a downtown. Really what ever we needed or asked was attended to. I loved the yoga class, the instructor was great, I know it was not well attended but I would have loved more and a early time. Thank you for making our DC trip a truly amazing experience.

This property was incredible! The location, cleanliness, and attention of the staff was beyond expectations. The room was filled with amenities - hair dryer, iron, toiletries, water, cappuccino machine and the list goes on. The staff was super friendly and VERY helpful. The room was very clean and serviced every day. My only issue with the hotel was the cost of breakfast. We ate in the dining room one morning, I completely understand paying premium cost for a french meal but scrambled eggs, bacon, toast, oatmeal, and coffee should not cost $78.99. Not french eggs, not prepared a different way, no special oatmeal.. plain American food.. That was an unnecessary cost.

They put me above their live jazz band. Apparently you have to pay extra to be able to sleep. If this place was cheap, I'd get it. But not for this price. They moved me to a "quieter" room (it wasn't quiet) and the new furniture smelled of new leather. The smell was so strong, it was all over the sheets and pillows. The smell woke me up through the night, it was so strong. And there were other...questionable smells on the bed. I left several nights early because I couldn't take it. This place is atrocious.

Let me start by saying I would stay here again. There were just little things that made the stay less than a five star stay. First I went to DC with a total of five people elderly ladies. I contacted the hotel directly before I arrived to discuss the three room’s I booked. I wanted them on the same floor, next to one another would be ideal, but I get it. They told me that since I booked through a third party they could not accommodate that request. So we ended up on three different floors. Next we pre-purchased breakfast each day. The woman server in the breakfast room was great, friendly and fantastic. The gentlemen, need some work on customer service. We had $180 to spend each day for breakfast, what ever the total, I gave the rest to the wait staff in a tip. So we ended up tipping really well each day, no need for subpar treatment. It’s awful that my mom wanted a glass of water but did not want to bother the waiter because he was irritated she wanted something else. Hotel bed was very comfortable, room was clean, cleaning staff excellent, free waters daily and coffee. Refrigerator was present but not very cold. Water pressure not great. Location could not be better for attractions. Was central to most things we wanted to do. All in all it was a fantastic stay, we all enjoyed our time there.

Our entire experience at the hotel was great and their staff was top notch.

I really enjoyed the Sofitel, first time staying at one. It was clean, linens very comfortable, robe so cozy. Bathroom so convenient, nice shower, loved the fan system in bathroom. Quiet property in DC. Dinner and breakfast very nice. Loved the coffee in the carafe at my table.

Very clean and nice rooms, comfortable beds, good ac, nice towels, nice robe (only one robe). Opaline was delicious for dinner and breakfast.

Location was ideal. Staff and service were top notch. Will return for sure.
