It is good to be back. Having first stayed here three years ago, I wanted to see if the place still held up, and it is easily just as good as I remembered, if not better. The food remains a massive highlight; the breakfast buffet is excellent, with the fresh salads and desserts being particular standouts. My room was thoroughly comfortable, but it was the staff who made the experience, always staying one step ahead to ensure I was well looked after. It is a brilliant, welcoming spot for a solo traveller.

Rooms smelled sour, like backed up sewage. Breakfast quality is not as nice as it was previously. Location is nice. Spa limits access to massages and related activities are limited.

The elevator broke down *twice*, the 2nd time trapping my wife in it for 45 minutes!

Great spa. Staff were friendly. Room was very noisy at night with loud traffic, our room windows were on the main road.

Yes! Worth the money I paid for. Breakfast was excellent! No complaints.

Good breakfast

Beautiful well-located hotel, with updated modern appointments throughout. Gorgeous pool area, jacuzzi, segregated wet and dry saunas. The room was huge and completely renovated with modern amenities throughout. One quibble: the room was very hot, with no way to cool it except opening a window, which brought in the polluted air of Almaty. Excellent high-end buffet breakfast One big issue was with the staff. Curt throughout, even considering the language barrier. When we checked-out they demanded we pay for a small hand-towel they claimed we had soiled. Whereas we had interacted entirely with women before, they had a male supervisor confront us, who spoke more English and sternly ordered us to pay. It wasn't much, so we decided to pay and leave rather than pursue it. Very strange experience indeed!

Service was excellent! SPA is highly recommended

We stayed on the ground floor away from the road and it was really quiet. The breakfast was ok for a small hotel. We found the hotel comfortable.We did have a safe problem, which wasn’t fixed, but we did only stay 2 nights.
