Generally, the hotel staff was very good. However, I found the reception desk staff unhelpful and rigid when I called on our arrival date to find out the likelihood of being able to check-in early (ie before 4pm). They refused to give me any idea as to when I might be able to check in later that afternoon and insisted that all I could do is show up at the hotel and find out once I got there. I was not looking for any guarantee, just an prediction of what time it would make sense to show up. The staff person was entirely unhelpful about this.

Great location,staff was very friendly and helpful. Suite was just very comfortable and clean. Had breakfast at the restaurant in the hotel,we thoroughly enjoyed the continental breakfast.

This was a great stay on our two-day trip to Victoria. We checked in a little late (around 10:30pm) and the clerk informed us that we had been given a complimentary upgrade to a King Suite (from a King room) with a harbor view.
The room was incredible, the hotel is beautiful. It is walkable to many places of interest, such as the Parliament building, the Royal BC museum, Chinatown, the Inner Harbor (literally across the street), Beacon Hill Park, etc.
We did not eat on property nor use the fitness club or pool, so I cannot speak to those. But it was a lovely stay.

It is a beautiful hotel. The rooms are spacious and well kept however the beds were not comfortable,the tv was lacking and the conditioner holder was broken.

Lovely hotel, convenient location, friendly staff! Excellent service to accommodate last minute change of plans due to ferry cancellation. Bikes are a bonus!
