There is no front desk so I cannot comment how helpful the staff is. If you are looking to stay in a 5 star hotel, this is not for you. This hotel provides you with the basic needs: bed with clean sheets and clean bathroom. The room was a decent size but had a strange layout. The bathroom was tiny but fine for a single traveler. The hotel is near the bottom of a hill. The taxis will drop you at the top of the hill as the street does not go through and it is difficult to back up the street. Not a big deal unless you have a lot of / or heavy luggage. Would I stay here again, yes as I need very little from the hotel or it's staff. Should you stay here? If you need assistance with anything, probably not.

Great location. Rooms were spacious and guest kitchen was useful. There were no actual staff to help troubleshoot. Relies on virtual assistants. Unfortunately with all the granite and narrow alleys in Porto, phone reception isn’t great so that’s an issue. WiFi available once you manage to get in the building but that wasn’t great either and had weak security. I would prefer a human host.

Before we booked this Hotel, we saw many positive reviews. However our stay was disappointing. We landed in Porto early in the morning, so we used the luggage lockers. The cost is €2.50 per hour, and given that check in is late (4PM), we ended up paying around €20. When we asked for an early check-in, and the agent over the email told us that the room was available, we followed the instructions however the room was not opening. We reached out via the messages, and ended up receiving the same copy and paste message over and over. We were instructed to input the number correctly, which we were doing. In fact, at 4PM we used the same code and it finally worked. We understood that other residents were struggling with a similar issue as a day later we spoke to a couple who told us that they cannot get into the room. Having someone at the hotel would be really helpful. The room was spacious, but there were a lot of plaster marks on the wall, as per the attached images. The headboard had scratches marks on it as well. Towels were not changed either. We learned that you would have to book it and pay extra as well. The plus side of this hotel is that the location is close to touristic attractions. However, unfortunately, it was a frustrating experience on the whole. This is because the Hotel may seem budget friendly at first, but would be more expensive with add ons. You would might as well go for a 4 start Hotel and get better facilities and service.

No water sometimes in the shower. No soundproof

We did not realize that there was no direct staff we could speak with other than by email contact. The bathroom sink stopper got stuck and we had no staff available to fix it during the stay. Difficult location to get luggage to .due to steps and road. Otherwise clean and decent location for exploring Porto.

This was a very disappointing hotel experience. 1. No customer service on weekends. If you follow the online check-in process provided by the hotel before arrival, you’ll receive the main gate and room PIN codes — but you cannot check in early. There’s no customer service available on weekends. 2. Limited free lockers. Although the hotel offers free lockers, there are not many. If you arrive with two large luggage’s, you’ll likely find there’s not enough space to store them. I experienced this problem myself, but thankfully, I met a kind cleaner who allowed me to leave my luggages in their storage room. I truly appreciate her kindness. 3. Very small room. The room was extremely small — it was impossible to open two luggages flat on the floor. 4. Bathroom issues. The bathroom ventilation fan didn’t work. The shower had strong water pressure, but the showerhead holder was loose, so once the water was turned on, the spray hit the opposite wall directly. 5. Electrical problems (the worst part). At night, the power went out — twice. If I hadn’t known how to reset it myself, I would have spent the entire night without electricity. Again, there was no customer service available on weekends to help. I chose this hotel mainly because of its price and the convenient walking distance to Porto’s main attractions, but other than that, I can’t say there was anything satisfying about my stay.
