We had a ground floor room with a balcony. The proper is being repainted and our view from our balcony was a huge pile of empty paint buckets and other trash. We notified the front desk and nothing was done to clean it up. The pool area also wasn't very clean and many people with coolers when the property has signs prohibiting this. Also checkout is Eleven am but breakfast ends at 9. Ten am would make more sense.I've stayed here a few years ago many times but I feel like new owners have less concern for their guests comfort.

Staff was awesome. Property itself is a bit rough, lots of wear & tear. But good location, nice people, and comfy bed. I’d stay again.

Upon arrival the front desk staff was welcoming and friendly. Overall the property and the room was clean but it definitely is an older property with signs of it being an older property. It did appear that they attempted to do some renovations or update some of the things like the furniture, the flooring, etc. After the first night, while we were out, and the house keeper cleaned there was a spot of blood on the sheet. When I informed the front desk and asked for the blanket to be replaced, he handed me a new sheet, but was not apologetic or anything about the issue. Wow the water pressure in my parents room was great. The water pressure in our room was not great and it was difficult to wash my hair after a day at the beach. Although for the cost in the location, it was a decent choice, I would not stay here again.

You get what you pay for with this property. It's just a place to sleep and not much else. The staff wasn't super helpful with questions. The hotel has a run down feel about it. There is mold on the walls, etc. The good thing about it is that it's across the street from the ocean. There are only a couple of restaurants near by and one of them closed super early. It's kind of far from anything else. If location matters to you, then this is not the place to stay.

Horrible customer service. They have young kids working the front desk & they don’t have a care in the world. Went to check in coming from dallas,tx. They said room wasnt ready & were laughing that we had to wait an extra hr and a half for check in. We were sitting in a hot car waiting. Ac in building wasnt working & in the end our room still wasnt clean. They switched us to another room with full size beds. Not queen beds i paid for. I messaged the property for compensation for this visit but they ignored me & could care less. It you want a dirty , expensive hotel w bad customer service this is the hotel

The room, building, and hallway were poorly maintained. The elevator had a bad smell. The staff was not helpful. The building looked like it was falling apart in too many spots. Only good thing was convince of location to the beach and the pool was clean. But the sitting area around the pool has no shade area for guests.

The hotel was decent overall. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable, but the hotel could use some updates. The elevator takes forever and they smelled terrible. Staff was friendly and check in was easy. It wasn't amazing, but it was a good place to stay for a short trip price was ok with it being across from the beach, could have been cheaper. The breakfast was nothing but starch no meats. If you would like a good breakfast go to Gypsy joint the food was delicious.

All the staff were very attentive and very friendly especially Anthony would recommend Galveston Beach hotel, and will definitely be returning in the future
