Hotel was great and the staff was friendly. We were in the middle of the transition and Charles and his front desk staff helped out immensely. 5⭐️ We got off the cruise with 12 people and they had all our rooms available early. That was extremely helpful. We were all surprised to see the rooms were large and spacious. TV was on a swivel wall mount so we could turn it either way to watch. We got a King Bed Junior Suite with a Sleeper Sofa. Bathroom was very clean and stocked with all the amenities. Rooftop pool was clean and easy to get to. The ground level pool was quiet and more easily accessible. The only thing I was not prepared for was that Miami is extremely humid. That made everything feeling a little damp. It just took a few minutes to get used to it, then I couldn't feel the humidity any longer. Overall, I would definitely come back here the next time we're out in Miami.

Room was decent, balcony view was not all that, nice secluded room.

I am big on researching thru reviews when I travel (the key is to read only the 1 and 2 star reviews to see if there is a consistent issue, thats a red flag). This was my first time staying in Miami and picking a hotel was difficult. It seemed even overall great reviewed hotels would get consistent low rating with a common complaint. I chose Angler because within in the last year most of the complaints were 1 off issues. I only stayed 1 night before my cruise but I would definitely stay here again. The staff at checkin were great. Room was modern and clean. I had no issues with bad smells or mold. Ate at 2 restaurants at hotel, Bar Havana while I waited for my room to be ready smoked salmon salad was delicious and the Mediterranean restaurant during happy hour. I only tried the $10 happy hour menu items they were ok. Next time I would take advantage of the use of the ebike which you get complimentary for 2 hours and I didn't visit pool area.

Nice staff clean room had cockroach but staff came right away to take it out.

One of the first things we noticed was a persistent musty, almost mold-like odor in the room. Additionally, the sound insulation is extremely poor. We could hear nearly every conversation, door, and noise from surrounding rooms and hallways throughout the night, making it difficult to relax or get a good night's sleep. Unfortunately, the rooftop pool experience has also fallen well below our expectations. There was never any music playing, which makes the atmosphere feel completely lifeless, and there is no poolside food or beverage service. Each time we wanted to order something, we had to call the front desk ourselves. Even then, the wait times have been excessive. On one occasion we waited over an hour and had to call back twice just to check on our order. The food quality was also disappointing. We ordered chips and guacamole one day, and the chips were completely stale. My husband also ordered what was advertised as a smash burger, but it was nothing like one. Considering the extremely high food prices charged, we expected a much higher standard. Overall, this stay has not reflected the quality we anticipated when booking this hotel. There is certainly potential here—the property itself has charm—but the execution and guest experience leave a lot to be desired.

Nice hotel located close to miami beach. staff very friendly. Room cleaned everyday thanks to the nice cleaning staff. one downside is no internet on the TV in the room for Netflix app. Overall good stay.

Room was great.

I gave this hotel 3 stars for the two reasons below. CONS: #1) The check in staff could have been a bit more courteous and helpful. We requested an early check in due to our soccer game tickets to see Argentina play against Cabo Verde at the World Cup Miami Stadium. Although, we were allowed to check in earlier than usual check in time, it just did not feel as though the hotel staff was trying his best, it was as if we were asking him for money! #2) and probably the main reason why I would not come here again. We were woken up abruptly at 3:35 AM with the loud noise coming from the room next to ours. They were clearly having a PARTY next door. There was loud/screams, loud music, banging on walls and doors, etc. When we called the front desk about it, they replied: "yes someone else already called about it. I will try to go there as soon as I get a chance". I was stunt! I expected, "I do apologize for the great inconvenience, we will take care of this right away". Nope! It took more than an hour for the party to end. Most of the staff here is clearly not happy to work here and showed it. But to be fair, there were exceptions, like the lady at the restaurant in the mornings who served us very courteously and helpful (didn't get her name). PROS: location if you're looking to party, the restaurant serves good food, the appearance of the hotel was good, well kept, the amenities (very nice pool and pool area), elevator...It wasn't horrible but I would not come here again!
