The in-room WiFi wasn’t working and they said it wouldn’t be working. That the in-room was a third party and they had no control!!
Out coffee table was about to fall apart. Maintenance did come to try and save it but they couldn’t. So we had to live with it for the duration of our stay. The bar was never staffed and we had to go search for someone to assist.
This is not a 5 star or 4 star hotel. It is in desperate need of help

The hotel itself is a beautiful building with an interesting heritage as the main post office. The location is excellent offering a great starting point for a walking tour of Ortigia. Great stay.

Beautiful hotel, but lacks service. We had several issues with the hotel from being locked in the bathroom (they had to break the door to open) to another room flooding out. It was all handled, but no apology from the managment or anything. Wrote hotel and only received an immediate response from Marriott, not Ortea.
