The resort is dated but it does correspond to the price bracket. It is more chalet than hotel. Staff in the restaurant were great. The fried rice is excellent. The beach is clean and we had starfish sightings.

Super quiet.

This property is in a serious state of disrepair. They need to close it down and completely remodel it before taking anyone else’s money.

Property badly needs maintenance. Food service is poor and quality of food is also poor. Handy to Sarawak Cultural Village, otherwise nothing much else to do other than the beach and walking/ hiking.

Initially my wife and I had a room that the A/C was a bit old and the room was hot but the staff were fast to fix the problem and our stay was amazing after that. The breakfast buffet doesn't have tons of options but they have the essentials and it was quite tasty. We particularly enjoyed how close it was to the cultural visit which was one of the options for picking this spot, only a 10 min walk from the hotel. Overall I would recommend people to stay here but it would be worth the upgrade of the room in order to get the best facilities and options.

Disappointed with my experience! The hotel is quite old and poorly maintained. The exterior walls were covered in green algae, and the walkways were in bad shape. Inside our room, the wood ceiling was a concern, as dust particles fell onto our bed, floor, and belongings, which I suspect was termite debris! Some of the furniture was broken, and the washroom had a foul smell. The most shocking part was finding a large lizard in our shoe bag. Overall, it turned what should have been a relaxing getaway into a nightmare. I cannot recommend Damai Beach Resort in its current state, it really needs extensive renovations and better upkeep.

Nothing more just to visit cultural village beside there.

Pros - Staff are very friendly and service level is excellent. Cons - The resort is very run down and location is very far away from amenities and attractions.

Great service by staff who let me the business centre for my work. Bed is comfortable . Room floor can be cleaner . Great experience overall

Beautiful place in a beautiful area. A hidden gem
