I had to book an emergency hotel room. My dad was getting air lifted to Vancouver as he needed emergency open heart surgery ASAP or he wouldn't make it. I booked this hotel as it was the closest and easiest for my mom to be close to him as he fought for his life. No where on the holiday inn website or Expedia's website do they mention they offered prefered medical rates, wait has to pay over $4000 for 3 nights. The hospital informed us that this particular Hotel does. The hotel staff initially refused to tel me the medical rates, but after some back and forth the eventually did. I would have saved $800. They told me because I booked through Expedia they could not do anything and I would have to go directly through Expedia, which is understandable.
I have tried calling Expedia 3 times now and have sent 4 emails and no one will give me the time of day. It's absolutely sickening in a time like this that they don't have the human decency to at least talk to me. I will never be using Expedia again for any bookings and would advise anyone against it if you expect any form of customer service.

For the price we paid which was very high, the hotel presented old. No fan in the bathroom, outlets were loose so our plugs kept falling out. Overall it was clean but tired. Nice to have a mini fridge.

超赞 Walked in later after an emergency , my husband staying in VGH.. told the check-in clerk…she gave me one night and no discount. Ended up back and finally got a discount with the same clerk 3 days later. Got screwed over the weekend
