Staff was wonderful particularly Carlos who waited on us at the restaurant and everyone at reception.

Vine a Heidelberg por la graduación de mi hija y me alojé por 4 dias en el hotel. Desde el primer momento, fui recibida con mucha cordialidad y gentileza. Tuvimos el apoyo de Ivonne, en la recepción, quien nos atendió con mucha amabilidad. Al día siguiente, el día de la graduación, no había previsto hacer una reunión para celebrar, pero recibimos la vista de varios amigos y, el hotel, a pesar de que estaba reservada para una fiesta privada, nos permitió quedarnos en la hermosa terraza junto al río para brindar por el logro de mi hija. Nos atendió Anastassia, quien nos sorprendió por hablar perfecto español y nos brindó el mejor el servicio posible. La cena fue increíble. Me sentí como en casa, con confianza y relajada. El hotel me encantó!!

The hotel is overrated in my opinion. The air conditioning is minimal at best, beds old and very uncomfortable. The staff were great, restaurant amazing for service and food.

We booked/paid extra for superior rooms with view. Oblique river view, standard room. Worst was no air conditioning in 31 C weather. Given standing fan. No air exchangers in pool area. Hot humid dirty windows and peeling paint and bad smell in sauna. Hall carpets are frayed and worn, and no coffee in rooms. Instead you get thermos coffee in paper cups in the lobby like a gas station. We have stayed in many Marriott hotels, I hardly have the words to say how bad this one is. Some staff are good, others clearly are embarrassed and state just following hotel policy. Very

The property is tired and not maintained. The list of what went wrong in my room alone is long in addition to no air conditioning turned on in 31 C weather. Excuses given. Along with excuses changing: lies. Management is terrible. Guests are not first. Money is. It’s clear and it feels terrible. River views are not river views. We will never return We are at the Mainz Hilton right after Heidelberg and have experienced five star service which showed up even more how terrible Heidelberg Marriott is in all aspects except its breakfast buffet. And even that was the same old same old day after day. The Hilton Mainz charged less for its true river view deluxe rooms AC on and working. All amenities working. Free water in the rooms. (Had to pay for water at the Heidelberg Marriott).

Great view and courtyard. Would have liked a room safe.

Hotel receptionist was rude and unprofessional.
